Chapter 8

ALEXA'S POV:

Monday morning, was always stressful. I got dressed and head to school. I was stressing out due to our upcoming exams and I wasn't fully prepared yet.

I decided to go to the library later after my first period. I was busy scribbling on my note when Riley barged into my class. What was she doing her? She doesn't offer geography

My questions was answered when she walked over to me and gave me a tight slap. Ouch!

"Riley? What the hell" I got up angrily with face in my hands

"I told you to stay away from that waiter didn't I? I saw him first" she yelled. At this point the whole class was watching the whole speculation

"Why should I stay away from him? He's not your property or anything" I yelled back. Shouldn't the teacher reprimand her for disturbing his class? Instead I saw her recording this on her phone. Ugh!!!

"I don't care. He's mine, I won't keep on letting you take everything away from me" what's she even talking about

"I have never taken anything away from you" which was true

"Really? I used to be the most pretty girl in school but that changed, you took my title but I warn you Alex, you Will not have that waiter" she pointed her manicured finger at me

"How is that my problem? I don't want any of your title, and this waiter you're talking about happens to have a name. I'm warning you Riley, don't you ever threaten me again" I grabbed my stuff and stormed off to the next class

The rest of the day went on fine and I quickly left when it ended. I arrived at work to see Suzzy flirting with a guy. I didn't bother to look at the guy properly and just went inside

"Alex what happened?, I was calling you and you didn't answer me" she asked worriedly

"It's nothing. I'm sorry" she reached for my face and I winced in pain

"Alex who did this to you? Tell me right now" I gulped

"R..riley" I muttered. She got so upset, I could see smoke coming out of her ear literally

"Oh imma fuck up that bitch right now" she rolled up her sleeve and marched outside probably to go murder Riley. Before she could go too far, I tackled her on the floor

"Suzzy please forget about it, I'm fine. Please I don't want any more trouble" she finally gave up. I got off her and helped her off the floor

"Why do you let her treat you like trash? I won't allow it any longer" she gave me an ice pack and went back to work

After work hours, I went to apologise to Suzzy after what happened earlier

"I'm sorry Suzzy. I promise to stick up for myself from now on" she sighed

"I'm not upset with you, I just don't want you getting hurt ok" I nodded smiling before hugging her

"So who was that guy you were talking to awhile ago" she blushed. OMG!!!

"Oh.... he's just some guy" she blushed harder and I took this as an opportunity to tease her as well

"Just some guy? Then why is your face all red huh" I wiggled my eyebrows at her

"Ok ok. I met him a long time ago when I was still with my parents. We dated on and off but nothing really serious" it looks like there's more than that

"Do you still like him?" She sighed before answering

"I'm afraid Alex, Ethan is a playboy. I don't want to get hurt" I Know the feeling

"It's ok Suzzy, I'm here for you. Just take things slow" I advised

"Look who's talking" I gasped and she ran away

After work, I decided to retire home for the night. I got home but saw Daniel seating on my doorstep.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I smiled going close.

"I came to see you" he closed the distance between us and kissed me. I winced when his hands touched my face.

"What's wrong?" He examined my face and when he saw the bruise he looked pissed

"It's nothing" I shrugged but he persisted "it was Riley, she wants me to stay away from you" if I thought he was angry before then I was joking cause the look on his face right now looked dangerous

"What the fuck? How dare she?" he was seething with rage

"Relax Daniel, I'm fine" I placed my hands on his chest reassuring him that I was ok

"Let's go inside" he smiled i followed him.

"So how was work today?" He shrugged before taking a seat

"The usual" I went to the room to take a quick bath. I put on my pyjamas after that

"Come here" I went towards him and he carried me on his lap as her gazed at my eyes. I reached for his hair and he closed his eyes leaning into my touch

"I like you Daniel" he opened his blue eyes immediately. I retracted my hands from his hair scared that I had upset him

"You don't know much that means to me Alexa. I lo...like you too, so much" I wrapped my hands around his neck and kissed him hard

He responded with equal passion sucking on my bottom lip. He licked my lips asking for entrance but I didn't know how to so I stopped

"Sorry, it..it's just that um I don't know how to kiss that well" he chuckled pinching my cheeks

"You're so cute. Don't worry, with time you'll get the hang of it" he leaned in and kiss me again

I was enjoying myself when a thought came to my mind. I pulled away again

"Wait, does this mean we are now a couple?" He smirked and I blushed

"What do you think?" I blushed avoiding his gaze

"Well you haven't exactly asked me to be your girlfriend" I mumbled. He tilted my chin so I could look him in the eye.

The way he looked at me was so intense. It felt like he could see through my soul. I gulped hard as he asked me that question I've been dying to hear
