Chapter 23

ALEXA'S POV:

Today was the rehearsal dinner and everyone was extremely busy with preparations, Daniel and I haven't even spoken to each other properly.

Ethan asked to speak with me today, I hope everything is alright. Right now, am at his mansion waiting for him to come downstairs.

"Hey sister" I ran up to him and gave him a big hug

"Hi, I'm sorry we haven't been catching up, it's just that the wedding and all is so stressful. Believe me, it's not easy to plan a wedding" he chuckled

"I understand. I called you here because I wanted to discuss something important with you" (gasp) is this what I think it is

"Oh my gosh, are you planning on proposing to Suzzy? Do you need my help?" I kept on ranting about how excited I was

"Hold on, that's not what I wanted to say" my smile fell off my face

"So you don't want to marry her? I thought you loved her" I looked at him teary eyed

"Of course I love her, I can't imagine myself being with anyone else. As for marriage, we are getting there, I'll make things right between us. She's very important to me" I held my heart and started fanning my face dramatically

"Awww that's the cutest thing I have ever heard you say" he just chuckled

"I can see Suzzy is rubbing off on you anyway, I called because I wanted you to really consider working in our company" oh I totally forgot about his proposal

"I'm sorry but I can't think of that right now and I haven't discussed it with my Daniel" he held my hands

"Hey I'm not rushing you, take as much time as you need. Just promise me you'll think about it" I nodded my head and gave him a big hug before going home.

Suzzy was helping me get ready when she received a call from someone and left me alone. I was fixing my hair when a hand from behind clasped my mouth to keep me from screaming. I started struggling and successfully bit my attacker

"Ow!!....ssh it's me, don't scream please" Danny whispered in my ear before letting go. I wrapped my arms around his neck but, pulled away to smack him "ow!! what was that for?"

"For scaring me to death, I felt my heart jump out of mouth" he started laughing and I pouted

"You're so cute"he said ruffling my hair I've been trying to arrange for the past thirty minutes

"Don't touch my hair" he flashed me his boyish grin then hopped on my bed "what are you doing here anyway? Shouldn't you be getting ready for tonight?"

"I wanted to see you but your brother or Suzzy won't let me in so I decided to be a monkey" I laughed at what he said but what, did he just call himself a monkey. Also, I no longer stay at my former house but in a flat which Ethan bought for me

"As much as I agree that you're a monkey, care telling me why you are calling yourself one" I smiled walking over to him

"Well I had to climb two stories to get to you" I gasped before bursting into laughter

"You really are a monkey, now leave" I said smiling. He grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him so that I was standing in between his legs while he was on my bed

"Nope" he said popping the 'p'. I tried to get away but he held me tighter

"What are you doing?" He pushed me on the bed not aggressively though and got on top of me, hovering over me.
