ALEXA'S POV:
Since I was home alone, I decided to help with preparations for the funeral. Mom hasn't been talking to anyone ever since she came back from the hospital.
"Mom are you ok?" I walked over to her and sat beside her
"I'm okay dear, do not worry about me" she smiled weakly before leaving. Something felt off about her anyway, I carried on decorating the hall where dad's funeral would be held.
I was so busy trying to put the flowers together that I didn't notice Ethan and Suzzy had arrived
"Boo" Suzzy yelled "Ahhh" I screamed causing the both of them to laugh
"Are you planning to kill me?" I asked with my hands clutching my beating heart. Ethan came over and hugged me
"You know, I actually feel Ethan is taking you away from me Alex" she said pouting
"Come on babe, don't be like that, you know i'm all yours" he said smiling at her. I went over to her and wrapped my hand around her shoulder
"He can never take me away from you sweetie....ok?" She smiled widely. Jeez what's with the mood swings
"Alex we actually have something to tell you" Ethan spoke up acting uncomfortable
"What is it? Please don't tell me you guys are splitting up" worry etched over my face
"No, of course not, never" they both said in unison
"Good" I said smiling warmly
"Actually, there's going to be an addition in our family" she said blushing. huh? What does that mean?
"I don't understand, are you guys getting a dog or something?" They both looked at each other and smiled. I thought about what she said when realization hit me
"Are you guys pregnant?" My eyes wide like saucers
"Actually, she's the one pregnant" Ethan said blushing.
"Ahhhhh" I screamed loudly before running over to them and pulling them both into a big hug " I'm so happy for you guys" I said pulling away as tears of joy glistened my eyes
"We have also decided to get married in two months time before the baby bump starts showing a lot" by now my mouth was hanging open. I pulled them into another hug as tears of joy rolled down my cheeks
"This is the best news I've heard since today, I'm deeply happy for you guys" I wrapped my hands around Suzzy as we bought started sobbing
"I can't wait to tell Danny, this would probably help lift his spirit" I whispered
DELILAH'S POV:
I still can't believe Samurai would kill her own father because of wealth and power. This is the punishment I get for being so selfish and conniving, now I've raised a monster which is beyond control
Tears slipped from my eyes as I was walking to my room. I'm so sorry Anthonio, for hurting you and for raising Samurai the way I did.
No, I can't let her continue causing more havoc. I need to stop her before things get more out of hand. I know just the person who can help me.
I went into Anna's room and saw her sobbing on her bed. I knocked before entering scared of what I'm about to do
"Anna..." I muttered. She got up the moment she saw me and came towards me. I stood there nervous, expecting her to start blaming me for all that happened but surprisingly, she pulled me into a hug.
I wrapped my arm tightly around her, using my free hand to soothe her hair and whispering 'it'll be ok, i promise'
"Anna there's something I need to tell you" she pulled away looking at me expectantly
"What is it?" I gulped before telling her all that happened, what Samurai had told me in the hospital and all. Tears spilled from my eyes as I narrated the whole thing to her " so you mean to tell me that you and Samurai are the ones who murdered my father?" She asked pissed
"No no no, I swear I had nothing to do with it and when I found out, I wanted out and nothing to do with her skims anymore but she threatened me" she looked at me with disgust in her eyes
"I can't believe you've been encouraging her actions all this while. In fact you deserve everything she's doing to you..... What is she blackmailing you with?" I gulped "are you going to tell me or not?"
"I... I... Knew your father had an affair years ago. It broke to know he was seeing someone else so, one day out of rage, I went to see her and threatened her. She ran away with her son that night but, I later saw her Wondering in the streets. Out of anger and jealousy that she had a son why I only had Samurai then, I.... I... Ran h...er over with my car" I looked down in shame
"You what??? I just can't believe you. There's no difference between you and your daughter" she spat at me
"No please believe me, I regretted everything I did, and immediately took her to the hospital but....but she died afterwards"
"And that is supposed to make it any better?"
"No, I know what I've done is unforgivable and I'll spend the rest of my life with that guilt but I can't let her ruin your life or that of daniel"
"You think by killing our father she hasn't ruined our life?" I looked down in shame "what else are hiding from me, maybe I not even your biological daughter"
"No you are my daughter, I promise that's all I have done. I understand that you'll never forgive me but she's planning bigger things, even your boyfriend is involved" she looked shocked for a second
"What are you saying?"
"Roman, he's not having a romantic affair with Samurai. She's blackmailing him that if he doesn't do as she says, she'll kill you. She's planning to take the company from Daniel even if it means killing you and your brother"
"So all this while, you mean Roman has been staying away from me for my own protection? And here I was thinking he had forgotten all about me"
"Please help me stop Samurai, you can hate me forever but please help me put an end to this. For your father's sake" I pleaded
"I'll help you only because I want to teach that bitch a lesson not because I care about you as a mother anymore" her words where like blade cutting through my heart but I'll have to leave with. It's what I deserve
