Chapter 31

ALEXA'S POV:

Wedding bells are around the corner and everyone is busy with one thing or the other. Luckily, today was the bachelorette party, tommorow was the rehearsal dinner and then the big day was on Saturday, finally everything would be over.

Gosh, planning a wedding was so stressful. Daniel has been really busy with work, since Samurai was arrested  few days ago, he's been trying to put everything back in order with the business.

The girls and I were preparing the meal for tonight's party, sure there was staff to do that but what better way to show off my culinary skills. Besides, it's my only brothers wedding, I wanted to do this much for him

"I hope everything goes as planned, I don't want any complications" Suzzy complained again for the hundredth time

"Suzzy, you don't have to worry, Alex and I have everything under control" Anna told her reassuringly

"By the way, where's my brother?" I haven't seen him since I came

"Oh, he went to pick his Best man from the airport" she said happily

"Who is he? Do we know him?" I asked curiosily

"Well apparently, they went to school together and are really close" well I remember I don't know much about my brothers life, if only we knew each other sooner. No worries, we can make new memories

"Okay" i continued stirring the batter I was making when Suzzy nudged me with her elbow. I looked up at her in confusion and she mouth 'follow my lead'

"So Anna, when are you and Roman going to tie the knot" I smiled mischievously

"Yeah Anna, I've noticed you two got close, don't tell me you're just friends" I added

"Uh....um I...I..um don't Know what you guys are talking about" she stuttered, blushing profusely

"Awww she's shy" Suzzy and I teased her a little bit more until they decided to turn the tables around

"What about you Alex? When are you going to make me a Godmother and Anna an aunt? My baby is going to need someone to play with" I blushed profusely, Daniel have never talked about starting a family but, I do want children

"No no, I think she and Daniel just want to do it without any disturbance for now" Anna added

"Anna!! How could you" I started chasing her around the kitchen island as she laughs.

Suzzy was laughing her ass off as well and then the worst happened, I slipped. I closed my eyes tight, bracing myself for the impact with the floor but nothing happened.

I opened my eyes to come face to face with a very gorgeous man. His hair long and wavy yet looked so soft, he had this boyish features with his soft brown eyes. He was probably around Daniel's age or my brothers, I couldn't careless as I was busy ogling his beautiful features

"Are you alright?" Wow, even his voice is so sexy. I realized I've been staring too long, so I quickly positioned myself so I was standing properly in front of him

"Yes, thank you" I blushed, pulling a lock of hair behind my ear. Suzzy cleared her throat, crap, I had totally forgotten about her and Anna

"Oh, I see you've met my sister" Ethan walked in the kitchen unaware of the awkward tension around to go peck Suzzy "guys this is my best buddy Max" Ethan introduced

"Hi" Suzzy, Anna and I all welcomed him

"It's nice to finally meet the woman that has stolen this rascals heart, I must say I'm very impressed" he walked over to Suzzy offering a handshake as she blushed at his comment

"Wow, the dude is hot" I whispered to Anna and she agreed giggling

"But don't forget, you belong to my brother" I rolled my eyes only to notice Max staring at me

"Hi I'm Anna, Alexandra's sister-in-law" Anna replied quickly. ugh I Know she did that on purpose

"It's nice to meet you Anna and you too Alexandra, your husband must be one lucky man" he smiled at me

"No actually, I'm the lucky one" I smiled lovingly thinking about my husband.

"I can see that you love him very much" I blushed and went on with cooking

"We'll leave you guys to continue with cooking"Ethan said dragging Max with him

"Soooo Alex, remember you're a married woman" I gasped at Suzzy's remark

"Of course I remember Suzzy and I love my husband" I stuck my tongue out at her.

It was already late, and Suzzy had gone to sleep cutting the party short. So I decided to go home and I didn't bring a car with me. Anna left awhile earlier cause she had to go on her date with Roman. Max offered to take me home but I refused

"Come on Alex, let him take you, I have some business to attend to else, i would have taken you home myself"

"But..." I tried protesting

"No if's or but, I would be rest assured if he takes you home please" I smiled warmly at him before pecking him and going with Max.

I got into the vehicle and we drove off. It was an awkward silence, I didn't know what to say and I don't know why I was feeling nervous around him.

"So, tell me about you Alexandra" he asked after the long pause

"Sorry Max, I'm married" he chuckled

"I know that, there's no harm in being friends right?" He glanced at me before looking at the road again

"Well what do you want to know?" That's how the conversation started. We got to know a little more about each other and he was a really cool guy. When he got to my house, he got down and opened my door for me

"Thank you" I smiled at me "this is me" I said pointing at the house

"Well I hope I see you around" he got into his car "goodnight Alexandra"

I turned around to head into the house with a grin on my face only to bump into an angry looking Daniel glaring at me

"Danny!!" I wrapped my arms around him and he just stood like a statue before pulling away

"Who's that?" He asked looking in the direction Max's car followed

"Um... That's Max, Ethan's best man" I explained

"Why is he bringing you home?" he crossed him hands around his chest

"Stop acting jealous Daniel, I'm all yours" I smiled at him

"Why don't you prove it" he wiggled his eyes at me

"Um....I ... Um" I blushed and he just chuckled before slamming his lips on mine. I wrapped my hands around his neck as I pulled him closer

"Not here" he whispered into my lips before carrying inside the house
