SAMURAI'S POV:

"Mother get a grip of yourself" I warned mother who was busy sobbing non-stop in my hospital room

"Samurai how could you say that to me after what has happened to your father?" I rolled my eyes

"O please, spare me the drama. You and I both know you didn't love him" I simply stated

"He was my husband" I sighed before getting off the bed to stretch "how... I thought you were sick, which is why you fainted right?" She asked surprised to see me standing on my own two feet

"Oh relax mother, it was all an act and by the way I loved how hysterical you were" I smirked

"An act, does this mean you have something to do with your father's death?" (Eye roll) uh duh?

"What else, I told you as soon as Daniel marries Alexa, we'll be putting our plan to act....." She cut me off with a tight slap. WTF!!!

"Mother?" I said holding my face

"Do not mother me. What have you done? How could you kill your own father? What kind of monster have you become?" My blood started boiling

"Monster? I did all i did for yours and my own good. Don't you dare forget we are in this together" I pointed my fore finger at her

"In this together my foot. I can be a lot of things Samurai but I'd never kill my own husband. Yes I'm selfish and conniving but Anthonio was nothing but kind to me. I'd rather die than be a part of any of your wicked plans again" she stormed off to Leave the room but I couldn't let this happen, I needed to stop her

"You are forgetting that you're also a killer" that stopped her, she turned to look at me shocked "surprised?, I know about your dirty little secret. If you walk out that door, I'm going to make sure you go down as well as i. I have evidence to prove what you did years ago" tears streamed down her face but I couldn't care less

"Think twice before you try to walk out on me" I said before leaving her there to cry her eyes out.

I called his phone but it wasn't going through, I tried several times until he picked the call.

"When next I call you, make sure you pick up immediately if you don't want to face the consequences" I commanded him

"What is it you want this time?" He asked

"Don't try and play smart with me Roman, I'll kill Anastasia within a heartbeat if you dare me" I warned

"Please don't do anything to harm her. I'm so sorry I didn't pick up sooner. What can I do for you?" That's better

"I need you to steal important documents, buy more shares secretly in the company, and keep Daniel in the dark about important meetings so the investors will think he's incompetent"

"But how am I going to do that?" Ah some people are just too dumb

"My father just died and he's still in a state of shock, he won't even smell you, so make sure you carry this out while he's weak" he was quiet for a second "do I make myself clear?"

"Yes" he ended the call. Are you surprised? Oh you thought I was dating that imbecile? Tsk tsk.....Pity

I had threatened Roman to help me ruin Daniel else I'll send him the head of his beloved Anastasia. I know she's my sister but when it comes to power and family, I'll choose power in a heartbeat. He has been working for me due to helplessness, I even told him to make Anna believe that he doesn't love her anymore.

I didn't actually mean to kill my father but he heard things he shouldn't have.  He learnt about my plan and there was no way I'd let him go just like that so I had to suffocate him with a pillow.

Anyway, I have to be alert now because the battle line has just been drawn and I'm so prepared. I was ready the moment father brought that trash home as his son. No one, and I mean no one takes what's rightfully mine.

ALEXA'S POV:

I heard shuffling around the room and I opened my eyes only to see Danny getting ready for the office. I didn't even know when I fell asleep, but it's still so early, like four in the morning.

"Baby, where are you going so early?" I yawned stretching my arms

"I have to go to the office, father's funeral would be later in the evening. I want to come back early" he still hasn't let go of the emotions he's going through. I got up to help him fix his tie

He was reluctant at first but,I persisted. After knoting it, I pulled him in for a kiss sucking his lower lip. I sucked on his lips harder, begging him to respond but he just stood there like a statue. I pulled away as tears slid down my cheeks

"If you can't share your problems with your wife the woman you claim to love, what's the use of me then?" I muttered, and turned to leave but he held me back

"I...I'm sorry, I just, I...I can't" I walked closer to him and held his face

"You can talk to me" I raised his chin so he could look into my eyes. The moment his eyes connected with mine, I saw the raw pain he has been trying so hard to conceal.

Tears finally slid down his face as he started crying. I wrapped my hands and around him and hugged him, rubbing my hands up and down his back trying to calm him down.

"What.....what am I going to do (hiccup) now. For the first time in my life I feel like I'm alone in this world" it broke me to know he felt this way

"Sssh you're not alone my love. I'm here for you" he looked up at me and I wiped away his tears as I placed my lips on his.

He pulled me closer and kissed me harder, expressing all his pain through the kiss. He licked my bottom lip seeking entrance and I opened my mouth for him, gripping on his shirt as the kiss was making me weak in the knees.

I ran my hands in his hair, pulling him for more when his cellphone rang. He picked it up while I continued placing soft kisses on his face.

"Daniel it's important, come to the office" someone said in the background.

"I'm sorry but I have to go" I nodded sadly in agreement "I love you Alexa, never doubt that" he whispered against my lips before leaving.
