Chapter 33

DANIEL'S POV:

I woke up this morning to the sound of my phone ringing, I got up carefully so that I wouldn't wake up the beautiful goddess sleeping beside me.

Watching her sleep peacefully, reminds me of last night. I smiled thinking of what we did, she surprised me. In fact, I was amazed by her.

At first, I was pissed seeing her come home in another man's car. My blood started boiling when I saw her smile at him. Luckily for the scumbag, he had left before I got to where Alexa was standing. Anyway, it's not important because I trust my Alexa so much and I know she won't do anything to hurt me.

I was stretching my limbs when my phone rang again. I had forgotten that it was the ringtone that woke me up. I picked up the phone and saw the name of the inspector on the screen, what does he want now? I sat down on the bed and answered the call.

"Hello inspector" I answered curiously

"Mr Clemonte, I'm sorry to disturb you at this time but, it's an emergency." He says

"No worries, I'm all ears. Tell me what's up?"

"Samurai has escaped from prison sir" he said hesistantly

"WHAT???" I yelled getting up from the bed

"Yes sir, she escaped last night. My men and I have been trying to search for her but she's no where to be found"

"How could you let such a thing happened? Isn't the police station supposed to be a secured place? Now you're telling me a woman outsmarted you?" I hissed at him, my blood boiling with rage

"We're investigating the whole issue Sir but, I have a strong hunch that she had inside help."

"You know what, I'm coming there right now" I ended the call before going to the closet looking for an outfit to wear

"Baby what's wrong?" I must have woken her up when yelling at the inspector

"It's nothing, just some business came up in the office" she got up and like always, I got really hot staring at her beautiful body

"If that's the case, go take your bath, I'll pick out your clothes" I walked over to her and pecked her before going into the bathroom.

I can't tell Alexa what's going on right now, she'll be so worried. As the water casaded my body, many thoughts ran through my mind. I hope Samurai doesn't come to hurt my family.

I got out of the shower in a towel and saw that Alexa has already arranged the clothes on the bed and she was sitting beside them wearing a robe

"Baby, is everything alright?" Gosh I hate lying to her but I can't tell her anything besides, it's her brother's wedding in two days.

"Yeah I'm fine, just get ready for the rehearsal dinner. I'll meet you there tonight"  she got up and stood beside me as I wore my clothes

"Did I do something wrong last night? I know that i lack a lot of experience but if that's what is upsetting you, I'm really sorry" tears rolled down her lovely cheek

"What? No of course not. Last night was spectacular, the best night of my entire life. This has nothing to do with you. I promise when I get back, I tell you everything and make it up to you for leaving you this morning" I said hold her small face in my hands

"Are you sure?" Looking up at me as she pouted. I decided to wipe her doubts away by kissing that delicious lips of hers. After a short make out session with her, I went to the station.

*~*~*~* AT THE STATION *~*~*~*

"What do you mean by my sister escaped?" I asked pissed

"Sir, we have discovered that one of my men helped her escape. We have been trying to get a hold of him but our efforts are futile."

"And you don't know where she is?"

"She could be anywhere sir, I do suggest you protect your family, she did say she'll come back for revenge. You can use some of my men"

"No don't worry. Your men couldn't keep a hostage from escaping, I don't intend to let then guard my family" I took out my phone and called Roman

"Good morning Daniel, what can I help you with?" He answered groggily

"Samurai has escaped" I told him all what the inspector had said "right now, I'm calling to find out if you know of any good detectives that can help us?"

"Of course, I'll bring him to the office right away" he ended the call. I drove to the office, waiting for them. Few minutes later, Roman came with a young guy holding a backpack

"Is this him?" I said referring to the guy

"Yes, his name is Newt" I gave the guy the information he needed. He started tracking Samurai down with his computer

"According to what I'm seeing, she hasn't left the country or anything which means she's still around" Newt said

"Can you determine her exact location right now?" I asked pacing up and down my office

"I'm trying but it seems she's in a particular place with no internet access or security camera, not until she moves, I can't track her" he continued typing on his computer

"What do we do now?" Roman asked

"We need to protect ourselves, she's capable of anything at the moment but, I'm not about to lose another family member if mine. We are going to need to hire some body guards"

"I can help you with that" Newt said, his eyes still not leaving the screen

"Okay, discuss the whole arrangement with Roman. I have to tell the rest" I grabbed my phone and keys. I texted mom, Anna and Alexa to all meet me at home

I got home and saw them sitting on the couch waiting for me. Alexa walked up to me and hugged me immediately

"We saw the News Danny, is it true that Samurai had escaped?" the media must have heard the News and broadcasted it

"Yes" I told them all that happened at the station and what Newt had said "right now, we need protection. We don't know who is helping her or where she's going to attack from. We just have to be prepared" mom started crying again

"This is all my fault" she muttered

"No mother, it's not. Anna please take her to her room and try to calm her" Anna escorted mom away

"Are you okay?" Alexa asked, taking my hand in hers

"I won't be able to take it if anything happens to any of you. I'd die if I lost you my love" I stated as hot tears rolled down my left eye

"You won't lose me Danny. We'll always be together I promise"

If I had known, I wouldn't have taken Samurai's escape lightly because she caused me my only happiness. Actually, I brought it upon myself.
