23 - Telling

There was the most amazing cafe not to far from Hunters place that served the best Eggs Benedict,

"I can't believe you turned down naked snuggles for eggs" Hunter jokingly pouted across the table from me,

"Stop your pouting, drink your Cappuccino"

"Hmmm, I think I like it when your bossy baby" I chuckled at him, taking a mouthful of my breakfast,

"So any ideas on how you want to tell your Mum and Dad?"

"Yeah, actually I do" I paused "I know your going back for the reunion in a couple of weeks, I was hoping I could go with you - we could head down a few days earlier, I could tell my parents, you could catch up with your Mum and Dad and Ryder"

"Yeah about Ryder princess"

"Yeah"

"He kinda already knows"

"What?"

"He knows about us, I told him a while back"

"And"

"I mean he was a bit weirded out at first, you are his niece after all and he may have made a few threats, but we have been friends long enough and he knows I'll treat you right"

"Ok then" I paused to take another mouthful of food "so what do you think"

"I think if this is what you want to do baby, I'll be right there with you, I might book a hotel though"

"Oh, um"

"Princess, don't read anything into it ok. I just think it will be good to have our own room we can escape to when shit hits the fan"

"Oh, I kinda thought"

"That I didn't want you to stay with me at my parents house, yeah I know you did, babe my parents are pretty laid back people - Yeah they might be a bit shocked but they'll get over it, heck my dad is 13 years older than Mum"

"Really"

"Mhm"

"What do you think will happen Hunter?"

"Truth?"

"Always"

"I think they are going to be pissed off, I think they are going to hate the fact that we are together"

"And then you'll leave me" I said, my face looking down, Hunter stood from his chair, moving to kneel in front of me completely ignoring the stares and whispers from the other people in the restaurant

"No, I'm not going to leave you Lily, god baby you don't get it do you, do you want to know what I see" I nodded, my eyes fixed onto his,

"All I see is you, us, our future, together - taking holidays, lazy Sunday brunches, I know I can be a bit of an asshole Lil and I get that there is quite a few years between us, But I also know what it is I want and I want you - only you and sometimes feeling like this with you scares the shit out of me, but I promise I will give you the world Lily" He placed a soft kiss on my lips,

"Hunter, you're amazing" I whispered resting my forehead against his "You thought about all that, really" He nodded, smiling at me

"Yeah" I kissed him again, going for what was meant to be a sweet soft kiss quickly turning heated,

"I love you Lily"

"I love you Hunter, now can you please take me home and show me how much you love me"

"Your wish is my command baby"

It was time, I was so in love with Hunter as he was with me, he had told my uncle, now I needed to tell my parents and surprisingly I was actually feeling ok about it all. I knew they wouldn't get it, but I also knew I was doing the right thing for me, for Hunter.
