BREAKING NEWS:
CHRISTOPHER MADSEN EARNS RETRIAL IN MURDER CASE

(Seattle, WA) On the morning of September 9th Christopher Andrew Madsen was able to stand in front if a judge for the first time in eight years. Madsen's lawyers pleaded with the judge to allow an appeal for their client and hope to have his sentence overturned. The case in question included the murder of his wife Rose Anderson Taylor and attempted murder of his son Samuel. Madsen's original case began unfolding with his arrest on the evening of July 23, 2012 when he ran from the family home in Spokane, WA with blood on his hands. Neighbors called the cops and the scene and story that unfolded was gruesome to say the least.

Madsen was found guilty of first degree Murder of his wife, and attempted murder of his son Samuel. His trial lasted only four weeks before going to jury where he was found guilty of both accounts and sentenced to life in the Washington state prison. After nine years, he has come forward asking for the appeal, sighting his alcoholic addiction as reason for the events of that evening. Hoping to convince the judge and jury that with a sober lifestyle he can be a stand up citizen and make amends in his life.

His next court appearance will be Thursday, October 21st, in the state's 1st district court house.
No statements from his son Samuel or step-daughter Madison Taylor have been taken regarding the case.

I tap back out of the link, trying to steady my breathing. Eight more days until he has another chance. I take a deep breath before starting to scroll through the thread of tweets attached to the article.
