A/N - This chapter was requested by user: EquineLilly. I ended up writing this with influence from the song 'Save The Last Dance For Me' by Michael Bublé. I hope you all enjoy it.

Jojen had never enjoyed going to parties. From the day you had met him you had known that he was more of a homebody than you were, and it had never bothered you until you were married. You loved the feasts that were thrown in the Capital, and you looked forward to them each time they were announced, but now you were hesitant. Jojen wouldn't have fun, and that would take all of the fun out of it for you.

You were sitting at the table, pushing your breakfast around the plate as you considered the celebrations. They got bigger every year with the crown insisting on out-doing themselves each time, and you were dreading the idea of missing one.

"What's on your mind?" You glanced up, your eyes meeting your husbands as you forced a small smile. You shrugged slightly. "Nothing. You know how I let my thoughts run away with me sometimes," you uttered, watching his brow furrow slightly.

"But you were frowning. You usually smile when you zone out like that-"

"It's nothing worth worrying about," you interrupted softly, skewering some food on your fork and bringing it up to your mouth.

"But you're worried about it." Jojen paused for a moment, watching as you shrugged again, unable to speak through your mouthful of food. "So, why won't you tell me what it is?"

You took your time to finish chewing your food, attempting to put off speaking, but soon enough, you had to swallow your breakfast and tell Jojen what was playing on your mind. "I was thinking about whether I would be able to go to the Capital for the celebrations this year. I do usually, but I know you aren't a big fan of-"

"Of course you can go." Jojen looked a little confused as you looked up at him with a smile. "I'm your husband, Y/N, not your keeper. You're allowed to have fun without me."

A small frown pulled at your lips as you watched him. "But I would be gone for so long," you murmured.

"I fully intend to come to the Capital with you, Sweetness. I just won't attend any of the parties."

You released a deep breath, one that you hadn't known you had been holding as you'd been speaking. "Thank you," you uttered, reaching forward to draw his hand to your lips, pressing a soft kiss to the skin of his knuckles.

"Just promise me one thing," he uttered, his hand escaping yours to cup your cheek lightly. "You can dance with whoever you like, but promise that I will always be your last dance of the evening."

A wide smile pulled at your lips, a chuckle escaping through them as you leant further into his touch. "I promise."
