Tsukishima's pov

"Tsuki hey! over here!!" i turned around seeing Yamaguchi, wave his hands around like a maniac. he soon reached me, panting, hands on knees.

"you look like an idiot. come on lets go" i said with a scoff, wanting to get home

"okay come on lets go!" Yamaguchi said, trying to catch up with me

i slowed down, giving him enough time to catch up. as soon as he was next to me, he gave me his signiture close-eyed smile.

before we went home, we got some meat buns, by Yamaguchi's request. he said these exact words, "come on lets pass by! it'll help us concentrate"

i felt nervous, i dont know why. maybe it was because Yamaguchi was coming over, but it was different now for some reason. maybe because i realized my feelings wasnt in a friendly way.

we arrived at my house, greeted by my older brother. we walked up to my room, putting our stuff down, as Yamaguchi sat on my bed, taking out the meat bun and eating it.

"nom~" Yamaguchi had said as he took out a bite pointing at it and giving a thumbs up.

how cute.

"Tsuki, you have to try them! they're soooo good!" he laughed and i tried my best not to join him

"come on lets get to work" i took out my book and pencil, pushing my glasses up to get started on reading the assignment

as i reached for my meat bun, i accidentally touched Yamaguchi's hand, causing me to jump up, and startle him.

"i'm really really sorry Tsuki, i didnt mean too" Yamaguchi said timidly

"just dont do it again okay?" i sighed and went back to working, continuing to write my answers down as Yamaguchi followed my actions

there was a long, awkward silence. i felt bad about the way i reacted but let it go.

i got up to go throw my trash away, when i saw Yamaguchi sit up.

"hey Tsuki, i-i need to tell you something important I PROMISE IT WONT TAKE TOO LONG" Yamaguchi said this, twidling with his fingers (a/n: kinda like this 👉🏼👈🏼 🥺)

"hurry up and get it over with, we have a lot to do." what was he going to say? was he going to say something about a girl? shit.

"o-okay, you d-dont have t-to like... f-feel the—"

"my god Yamaguchi can you hurry up?" i said trying to distract myself from what he was going to say

"n-no its n-not s-omething i can just easily say" Yamaguchi stuttered looking at the ceiling

"can you just get it overwith please?" i was already getting annoyed

"i-i think i like you in a wayfriendsshouldntlikeachotherespeciallyboyssincewellyouknow" he looked anywhere but me

as i was processing what he was saying, i finally realized what he meant. my eyes widened, looking at his figure. i went near him, and laughed

he looked up, his eyes scared, probably assuming i would reject his feelings.

i flicked his forehead and said "baka, i do too, now can we get back to work please? we have an exam tomorrow and i really want to pa—"

i felt him endulge me in a hug, resting his head on my shoulder, while i stood there frozen in place.

he whispered in my ear, "im glad you do too, lets study now okay?"
