~Chapter(11)~

The shrilling sound of the medical machines in the hospital filled my ears. The sight of rushing doctors and nurses gave me a headache. Echoes of crying and yelling voices played like an extremely long scream-o song in my ears. My breathing became exceedingly heavy as a great deal of anxiety took over me. I was definitely not a hospital person, and I have always hated going to the hospital since I was little.

"Selena, are you okay?" Liam's concerned voice made jump a little. I almost forgot he was sitting right next to me. Half an hour had already passed since we signed in the hospital, the nice lady at the front desk wrote down my name on a medical chart and asked us to sit and wait.

"I'm fine," I nodded and gave him a small smile.

"You look pale," Liam commented frowning slightly.

"I'm just nervous," I said playing with my fingers worriedly as I watched one of the nurses running quickly towards the Emergency room with two bags of blood in her hand.

"There is nothing to worry about, it's a normal examination," Liam said reassuringly.

"I don't like hospitals," I stated.

"I don't believe anyone is fond of hospitals, except doctors of course. But it is a necessity for all of us," Liam said shrugging.

"No it's not. A lot of people never step into the hospital unless they are passed out," I said, and shook my head disagreeing with him.

"What if you got sick?" Liam asked raising an eyebrow.

I shrugged. "I would take some anti-biotic, Tylenol for the fever, and anti-stamen for the bad flu,"

Immediately a frown broke into Liam's face, his eyes narrowed in disconcert as he put on his upset face.

"You really abuse using medicine," Liam accused giving me a disapproving look.

"I do not!" I shot back defensively.

Liam scoffed. "Of course you do. I've seen you swallow about eight tablets on the plane trip alone, and some of them seemed very strange," he confirmed.

"I told you those were vitamins."

"And I don't believe you," Liam stated with a shrug. "I have already told you that you are a bad liar, Selena," he smirked, an amused expression flashed across his face.

I turned to him with a frown. "That is not true."

"Lying is bad. So it's a good thing that you can't lie."

"Are you lying to me, Selena?" Liam asked out of a sudden.

I blinked in surprise as my heart skipped a beat. I was shocked with his abrupt question, and I didn't understand why he asked it. Did he suspect I was hiding something from him? Or did he find out about my disease? No he couldn't have.

"What-t... Why-y would I l-lie to you?" I stuttered, my face heating up quickly.

"Are you?" Liam repeated arching one of his eyebrows.

"I am not-t. I-I do..." I trailed off.

Seconds later. Liam's erupted laughter filled my ears. I sent him a questioning look as he continued to laugh gaining a few people's attention.

"I was only joking," Liam chuckled. "Your reaction was priceless."

I smacked him in the arm instantly and sent him a glare. "Don't do that again!" I snapped.

"Okay. I'm sorry," Liam raised his hands up defensively and gave me an apologetically smile.

I sighed in relief and let my eyes wander in the place. A feeling of nauseous washed all over me as I watched yet another bleeding person being rushed to the emergency room. "I think I'm going to vomit," I announced, my hand clutching to my stomach.
