Finn was walking about the place after having an intense conversation with Enya about why Edward is the better option for Bella.
Finn just mostly forced a smile and nodded, scared if he said anything she would blow upon him. He finally slipped away when Drew persuaded her to go and dance.
Something or someone caught Finn's eye, causing him to stop and stare. It was Florence, she was outside on the phone with someone.
"I wanted you to be here," She whimpered. "You're never here," Florence tripped on the glass bottle next to her, the phone flew out of her hand as she hit the ground.
The door slid open and appeared Finn kneeling to her, "Are you alright?" He asked, full of concern. Before Florence could answer, she threw up in a near plant pot.
Finn quickly handed her the water bottle he'd had since the beginning of the party, not feeling the desire to drink alcohol.
"Thanks," She looked up at him, mascara running down her face and watery eyes. "No problem," He breathed, helping her up on a nearby bench.
"You cold?" Finn asked, proceeding to take off his jacket and hand it to her. "Thanks," She quickly put it on.
The silence between them was loud even in this noisy city.
"You're the birthday girl, right?" He remarked.
"Yup," She nodded her head
"I'm not always like this," Florence tried to save herself from such a bad image, "It's fine everyone has bad days." Finn dismissed it.
"Sorry, if I interrupted your call by the way." He apologized, Flo shook her head.
"I was just leaving a voicemail," A voicemail because that was all she could leave. Thomas never cared to answer any of her calls or texts. Not because he was busy or had anything better to do, just merely because he was an ass. Which Florence was well aware of, but she couldn't seem to leave him for whatever reason.
"Let's get you inside," He suggested, she nodded getting up and walking back inside with him.
"Where were you? We're gonna open gifts!" Griffin stole Flo from Finn
As the two strangers grew farther and farther apart their eyes stayed in contact.
