Fix it! - Namjin Yoonmin Taekook

It's 7am when the alarm sounds for the first and only time. Jungkook opens his eyes and sits up on the bed, used to this schedule. He works the morning shift at the cafeteria a few blocks from there. His parents think he's studying in the morning. But no. He's just getting enough money to get the hell out of this house. And why? He could stay with his parents and pay no rent for a few more years! But... sometimes it's better to be alone than to have a bad company. He walks downstairs to find his father Jimin sleeping on the couch, drooling. He's holding a bottle of wine and Jungkook ignores his presence all together.

While making breakfast, the front door opens and a very tired Min Yoongi enters. It's an everyday thing. When Jungkook starts his day, his father is coming back from work. Those dark circles under his eyes show how much he misses sleeping. But he can't allow himself to quit his second job. Specially when he's the only one in the house that brings in money to pay the bills. Before even saying hello to his son, he walks up to Jimin and takes the bottle away from him. In a whisper he talks to Jungkook.

- When you see him like this you should take him back to the room

- When he's passed out? So like...every morning?

- Kook... I'm tired and my shoulder hurts, just do it for me

- It always hurts. And you're always tired. He's not even gonna thank you for it, he'll -

- Jungkook...please

The calm and tired tone gets to him. Against his will, he takes Jimin upstairs so he can rest for a few hours before waking up to drink again. He can't understand why Yoongi still cares for him at all. He remembers they used to get along when he was just a kid. But things changed abruptly one day. And he can't remember why. After drinking a coffee with his father, the boy leaves the house. As he walks past his neighbor's house, he slows down his pace. Looking up, there's a closed window.

- That bastard is still sleeping...

- Excuse me?

Jungkook panics seeing the owner of the house heard him. Kim Seokjin stares at him with an eyebrow up.

- Nothing sir! Good morning!

Without waiting for an answer he runs far from there. He doesn't want to be yelled at. Kim Namjoon already made it clear more than once. He shouldn't even look their way. And that man can be very scary for him. When he finally arrives at work, he can relax. A place away from all the drama of his parents and his neighbors. He's ready to work in that destroyed place with his friend Bangchan

- Hey, Kook! Thank God you're here! You have no idea what happened!

- Another rat?

- It was dead in the bathroom! I almost fucking die when I saw it!

- Well, at least the poison is working, right?

- I guess...Oh! I asked the boss about the whole "leaving early" today. He said it was fine but he will take it from your salary

Kook quickly puts on his apron and walks up to the man sitting on one of the tables on the back. He's wearing a white robe and looks like some kind of scientist. As soon as he stands in front of him and sees his face, he can recognize him

- What do y...Hoseok hyung!

- Hmm? Ah, Jungkook! I can't believe you're here! Hi!

- Me? What are you doing here?

- I moved back to Seoul! Japan was nice but they need me back here! I'm in a new lab a few blocks from home. We're working on something big. Maybe this time I'll get the Nobel!

- I'm sure you will, Hyung!

- Wow...I can't believe here is where you decided to work. How nostalgic...

- Nostalgic?

- Do your parents know?

- No! And please don't tell them!

- Okay? Anyway, how are they? I should pay them a visit soon. I'll see when I can get some free time

- It's okay, they know you're busy! But dad would be happy to see you! Though now that I think about it... I'm not sure he has time either. He's always over working, doing everything Jimin says

- You still call your dad by name?

- Jimin is not a good father so why would I change it?

- Oh, so he's still... I'm sorry

- Ugh, don't be. He's the only one that chose a glass of wine over his own family

- Yeah...listen, if you ever need anything you can look for me. Yoongi is still one of my best friends even if we don't have time! And you're still like the nephew I never had!

After giving him some free coffee, he can focus on his job for a few hours. There's not many people that go there. That's why he chose it. He doesn't want anyone to go around with the news and tell his parents what he's working on behind their backs. It's the middle of the day when he gets a text. The one he's been waiting for all day

With adrenaline running through his veins, he takes his things ready to get the hell out of there. Bangchan wishes him good luck as he leaves the place with a huge smile. Finally he'll be able to enter the building where his parents won't let him go. Where his dreams should come true. The auditions in the best and biggest music company. The one owned by the Kim family...
