Before we headed out to eat, of course we had to drop gio off with my mom and drop Gigi off at a birthday party. Some girl she's friends with at school invited her to her birthday party this weekend so we were gonna drop her off there and Emoni was gonna pick her up, saying she was gonna come stay the night at the house after she got off and got Gigi.
"Okay, what do you do if somebody is mean to you?" I asked Gigi as we pulled up to the party
"Tell them my daddy beat people up"
"Oh- no! You go and tell an adult" I corrected her, looking at Dre and saw him laughing a little "don't be telling her that"
"I will, bout my baby"
"You can't put yo hands on nobody's kids"
Dre gave me a look before getting out of the car and went to the backseat to help Gigi out.
"Alright Gigi, have fun. I love you"
"I love you too mommy" she replied "take care of my brother"
I looked back at gio who was in his car seat. The look on his face was like he was tryina figure out where his sister was going, meanwhile she was too excited to get out and go to this party.
Gigi held Dre's hand while she tightly held a birthday gift bag in her other hand, walking up towards the house.
"They grow up too fast" I sighed then looked at Gio in the backseat.
He smiled at me holding his cup and kicking his legs
"You too. SLOW DOWN"
He shook his head before drinking out of his cup. The sunlight from outside of the car hit his eyes as he looked off, watching the people walking their kids to the party.
One little girl ran off from her momma to get to the door but instantly tripped and fell
"I told you to stop all that damn running, now look. You bust yo ass" her momma fussed, grabbing her up off of the ground and wiped her outfit off
"Ma!" Gio called out looking out the window, pointing at the little girl
"Stop pointing at that lil girl" I told him laughing. He smiled, putting his cup back in his mouth
After a while Dre came back out by himself and got back in the car
"It's a lot of kids in there?" I asked him
"Yeah. She ain waste no time running to play with her friends from school. It ain shit but a bunch of lil girls in there"
"That's why you wanted to walk her in. To make sure it wasn't any little boys in there"
"Hell yeah"
I shook my head as we left, heading to my momma's house to drop gio off.
"You think we should've left her there by herself? Maybe we should've stayed with her" I randomly said
"She good. And even if, emoni text me when I took her in there and said she was bout to get off early"
"Oh. Okay then. I was just making sure"
"You just being overprotective"
I cut my eyes at him "says the one that went to see if FOUR YEAR OLD boys were gonna be in there"
"That's different"
"It's really not but okay" I stretched my arms.
Eventually we made it to my mommas house and while I grabbed Gio's bag, Dre grabbed him. When gio realized he was at his grandma's house his face perked up with excitement
