"You can sit the cake in there" Gigi told the lady from the bakery, pointing at the cart, as she brought out the cake
Gigi wanted to decorate the cake on her own so I was lucky enough the bakery lady was in the store and she was nice enough to just give us a plain white cake.
I grabbed the cake from the lady and sat it in the cart
"I really appreciate it"
"It's no problem" the lady smiled "Its so refreshing seeing young men doing things like this for their families. It's a very rare thing to see these days. I hope for nothing but the best for your beautiful family"
"Thank you"
"You're welcome, y'all have a great day" the lady said before walking back into the back
Gio sat in the seat in the front of the cart laughing while holding a piece of chicken in his hand. He wanted to show his ass cause he didn't wanna sit down when we first got in here so I had to bribe him with some chicken and he been happy ever since.
"Now we gotta decorate mommy's cake! It's my mommy's birthdayyyy!" Gigi danced around
"You must've had a good day at school cause you been happy since I picked you up"
"My teacher gave me two pieces of candy because I read all the lines right on the board"
"Oh forreal?"
She nodded with a smile while we headed to the cake isle
"Yes forreal"
"You wasn't gone tell daddy you read all the lines right? I had to get you to tell me"
"I was a surprise" she laughed
"Well since you surprised me I'll surprise you. How many lines you had to read?"
She held up five fingers "five"
"Well ima give you five dollars for every line you read. So that 25 dollars for you to spend"
When I said that her eyes lit up
"On anything I want?"
"On anything you want. But first we gotta get the rest of this stuff for this cake. Cause my difficult child wanna be as difficult as her momma and brother and make me buy a plain cake and decorations just to go home and decorate it when we could've got the lady to do it all for one price"
"But mine gonna look better daddy" Gigi pointed to herself
"I bet so"
We went straight to the cake decorating shit and as soon as Gigi saw the stuff she danced around
"What can I get?" She asked me
"Get whatever you want. You decorating it"
"Mommy's cake gonna look so pretty"
She grabbed different color icing tubes, two different type of sprinkles, some weird ass cupcake toppers that's supposed to be unicorns and some candles
"I'm gonna make the cake look really good"
"Yeahhh, yo cake bout yo be colorful as hell"
"Gigiiii!" Gio whined while reaching for a container of sprinkles that Gigi put in the back of the cart
"My brother want these" she explained while grabbing them and handed them to him and he started shaking it with his chicken in his other hand
"Can I eat your chicken gio?" Gigi asked him and he reached it out to her but I stopped her before she bit it
