The pain that hurts too much
Infects my body like a clutch
My soul is torn apart
My broken heart
It's too much to bear
A heavy burden, a weight too tough
A dull ache that's never enough
The sorrow that never goes away
No matter how hard I pray
The darkness that fills my mind
My spirit is so hard to find
My heart is heavy, my body weak
My wounds never seem to heal
The pain is too much to bear
It takes away my joy and care
My life is filled with sorrow and strife
The pain hurts too much to survive
But I take a deep breath and try
To keep my faith alive and high
My heart will survive this pain
And I will rise again
