The heart aches and the soul cries
The world is in despair
Pain lurks everywhere
It's in the air, the sea, the sky
It never goes away
Everywhere is pain
Aching in our hearts and souls
But we rise again
Everywhere pain lies deep
Unexpected and unseen
It lurks in shadows dark
Pain on the rise
A world of hurt beneath the skies
Everywhere is pain
Pain so deep, so hard to hide
Tears of sorrow like a tide
Inner suffering, I must abide
