I try my best, but I always lose
My efforts are all for naught
I give it my all, without a single pause
But still I come up short
My hopes and dreams, all too soon dashed
My expectations so high
My heart's desires, all too soon crushed
My soul feels such a sigh
I try to stay strong and persevere
But the outcome is the same
I struggle and strive to make it here
But I'm overwhelmed with shame
I never can seem to make it right
My best just isn't enough
My losses create a never-ending plight
A never-ending pain, so rough
I try my best, but I always lose
My efforts are all in vain
I try to overcome these blues
But I'm fighting a losing game
