The Arrangement

The Ex

Fourth fluttered his eyes open, his throat was dry and scratchy. His eyes roamed around the room, his vision was still blurry but he noticed that the room he was in was familiar. He groaned as he attempted to lift himself into a sitting position.

"Baby you are awake." Gemini said as he supported Fourth and helped him up in a sitting position. "Gem..." Fourth said as he rubbed off the blurriness in his eyes. "Are you okay?" Gemini asked his hand still supporting Fourth's back. Fourth smiled faintly and nodded.

"Water." Fourth said in a hoarse low voice and Gemini quickly poured water in a glass and handed it to Fourth. After he gulped the glass of water he cleared his throat and said "Thanks."

"How are you feeling? Do you need anything? Should I call the Doctor?" Gemini asked with concern written all over his face making Fourth chuckle. "I am fine Gem... just a little disorientated." Fourth said softly, his throat still felt dry and scratchy. It was probably from the effects of the sedatives he was forced to have for the past 24hours.

"I am just really concerned. Do you remember what happened?" Gemini asked as he caressed Fourth's hand. "Yeah vaguely." Fourth replied looking at Gemini's hand caressing his.

"I am sorry I wasn't there to protect you." Gemini said looking at Fourth lovingly with a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Hey... it's not your fault. We both know I can take care of myself." Fourth replied with a smile caressing Gemini's cheek. "I know but-"

Before Gemini could complete his sentence Ford walked in to the room and lunged himself into Fourth giving him a tight hug. "I am so sorry Fourth... I thought I lost you." Ford said with tears swelling up in his eyes again. If tears were to be bottled up, Ford's tears would probably fill up a swimming pool, that's how much he had cried.

"Are you crying?" Fourth asked chuckling. Ford nodded still hugging Fourth tightly. "I thought I was going to lose you." Ford said sniffling.

"Well you might end up killing him if you keep squeezing him like that." Dunk said as he approached them.

"Dunk!" Fourth said as soon as he laid his eyes on him. "What are you doing here?" He said with his eyes widened, he was shocked. Dunk was the last person he expected to see, especially after what happened between them.

"Disappointed to see me?" Dunk said with a smirk. "No..No that's not what I meant. I just didn't expect to see you here." Fourth said as he felt heat flush from his neck across his face, turning his face a dark shade of pink.

"I know." Dunk said softly. They stared at each other for a while after Ford finally let go of Fourth. "Can I get a hug as well?" Dunk said opening his arms and Fourth nodded averting his gaze from the boy. He was feeling shy, giddy he couldn't really pinpoint what exactly he was feeling.

Gemini watched the two hug with gritted teeth. He was after all possessive and got jealous easily. Joong cleared his throat and said "Okay I think that's enough hugging for one day."

Dunk glared at him after he parted from Fourth. Gemini on the other hand scooted closer to Fourth, wrapping his arms around his waist. He was feeling territorial and wanted to show Dunk that Fourth belonged to him. The gesture didn't go unnoticed as Dunk glanced at Gemini's arms around Fourth's waist.

The atmosphere somehow turned tense as Gemini and Dunk glared at each other. Neither of them averting their fierce gazes from each other, it was like they were in competition with each other. Whichever one looked away loses. It was silly and petty but Gemini all of a sudden didn't feel comfortable with Dunk around Fourth, despite him being great help in finding him. However the way he looked at Fourth made his thoughts run wild with questions.
