When we arrived back home late today, Joong didn't look any better. He was still not feeling well and struggling with everything he had shared with me earlier. Given his difficult past, it all resurfaced for him. "Joong, do you want to come with me to my place today?" I asked.
Without hesitation, he replied, "Yes." "Alright, but first grab your things," I said. He nodded and got out of the car, giving me a kiss on the lips. "I love you," he whispered. I drove off, thinking about how I wanted to make him happy. I had something prepared, something that would bring him joy.
pov Joong:
After packing my things, I headed to my car and drove to Dunk's place. I already missed him so much, even though we had just seen each other half an hour ago. The anticipation of being with him again made my heart ache with longing.
When I arrived at his place, it took five minutes until he finally sprinted to the door. He looked rushed. "What the hell are you doing that you look like this?" I asked with a playful smile. "Hahahah, now is not the time to flirt. I have something for you," he replied. I looked at him, intrigued. "What is it?" I asked. "You'll see," he said.
Since we didn't have a date, given how busy the past few days had been, he had come up with something special. "Okay," I said, filled with anticipation. "Come with me." He took my hand and led me to the hallway. His room was closed. As he opened the door, I saw candles scattered on the floor and rose petals strewn all over the bed. I looked inside, surprised. "Yes, I know, it's cheesy and all. If you don't like it..." he began, but I interrupted him by turning to him and giving him a kiss. It was meant to be a quick one, but it ended up lasting several seconds. When I pulled away, I looked into his eyes intensely and said, "Babe, this is the most beautiful thing anyone has ever done for me. It's so incredibly beautiful. I love you sooo much."
"I'm so happy that you like it," he said with a wide smile. "I wanted to make this moment special to show you how much I love you and how important you are to me."
"OMG, Dunk, you have no idea how happy and conflicted I feel right now because you're always there for me through everything, and these past few days have been all about me."
We had both sat down on the bed by now. I stared at my hands resting on my thigh. He gently turned my face towards him. "Listen to me very carefully. You deserve everything that is happening now, and I know for sure that you would do the same for me. Please just enjoy this moment now."
