I sensed the pulse of the band. She was back from seeing me. I knew that.

I spent the past five hundred years waiting for her to appear and she did. I never forgot her to the point I went insane from wanting to see her.

The moment the band stung, I searched for her. Amarantha's rule was over, I could search the Mortal Realms for the other band on her wrist. Maybe it was selfish of me to leave it on her, but I don't care.

I found her across the Wall, her home was a mansion. She was more well off than I thought. But for some reason I didn't approach her. Maybe I was scared of frightening her but I just couldn't even when my shadows told me not to.

It wasn't the right time to tell her, especially when I saw one of her sisters had an iron ring.

She told me that she lived in a dangerous place but she didn't say anything more. She never spoke of her family and I didn't know why. I was content enough to just watch her. When Rhys discovered that I found her, he told me not to see her.

I know he is trying to look out for me but I can't.

Seeing her from afar is enough for now.

The plans soon changed when we went to the Mortal Realms in order to discuss the war with Feyre's sisters. Cass, Rhys and I stood hid in the branches of the trees outside the mansion. The mansion that I knew Athy lived in.

"What do you think her sisters are like?" Cass says as he is crouched on the branch, watching Feyre approach the door.

"I'm hoping understandable." Rhys answers.

Our words are cut short as a woman appears to greet Feyre. I sensed who she was. Athy. Her face brightens as she realizes it is Feyre.

They knew each other? Was she this close all along?

"Is that Athy?!" Cass whisper-yells as he recognizes the face. Rhysand frowns at the sight and then looks up at me.

"Did you know she would be here?" He asks.

"This is her home." I answer, still looking at the two below.

"Az, why didn't you say that this is where she lives?!" Rhys rasps back. He was angry that I didn't tell him the location of Athy. But then again I didn't know she was related to Feyre.

"Because you would have stopped me from seeing her." I glare at him.

"You two knew that Athy was here?" Cass looks in awe at us. He didn't know about Athy's disappearance. Cass then focuses on me. "I thought you spent five hundred years obsessing over a dead person. How is she alive?!"

I don't answer, watching the two enter the home.

"She was alive the entire time. Just from another time period." Rhys explains.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"She time traveled." I answer this time.

"How is that possible?" Cass stares back at us. I'm surprised I was able to keep it a secret this long. But I didn't want people to know about her abilities so I never talked. And the subject also never came up in any of our conversations.

"We don't know." Rhy says, brows still furrowed. I'm sure he also didn't know that she was connected to Feyre. Contemplating if this is a good or bad thing.

Soon after Feyre led us into the house. It was beautiful even on the inside. While it did compare to any Fae work, it was pleasantly nice for a human home.

She was standing near her sister, as Feyre introduced them. Her blue eyes went wide as she realized who we were. I felt her stress, she wasn't aware that we would ever see each other again.

Though she was confused, she hide it well, showing respect unlike the other two.

I couldn't help but look only at her. Seeing her up close reminded me of all the moments we shared together. I may have forgot things over these years but I never forgot what we did together.

She kept her head down as she ate, not wanting to attract any attention.

She only spoke when attacking Cass which I couldn't help but smirk at. Even after all these years she still has the power to put us in our place. Athy would be the one to calm us after a fight.

The dinner ended soon after but my only intention was to talk to her. I helped her with the dishes as an excuse.

The shadows were wild as they were near her. I knew that there was something special about her but I can't put my finger on it. I had to restrain them not to do something that I'll regret.

They were captivated by her, wanting to explore everything they have missed before. They wanted her as a magnet, whispering to me their wants.

After we finished cleaning up she took us to our rooms. I couldn't help but admire her in her light pink dress. She looked good in anything. But that only brought memories back of her in that blue dress. The memory is fuzzy but I want to see her again in it.

Maybe I'll ask her later.

The room Cass and I were in had two beds. I claimed one, falling back onto it. I was happy. Happy that I got to see her. Her smile, her eyes, her face, everything. She looked the same but it felt good either way.

"What's got you smiling like that?" Cass points out. "Let me guess. Athy."

I just hum staring at the ceiling.

"Cauldron, you're in this deep. I knew you liked her but you look like a lovesick fool." He flopped onto his own bed.

"I waited five hundred years to see her again, Cass," I say.

"I'm surprised you did that. No wonder you stayed away from any other girls." He then turns serious. "But don't you think that's too dangerous. You know what she is."

I know all too well what she is. But I can't help it. She was the first to love me other than my mother. Only after that did I realize that I loved her. I fell for a human. I have to watch her grow old and I'm stuck youthful as ever.

I hate that. I want to do whatever I can to make her mine but if I do that, I have to watch her die. This world was always so cruel to me.

But even still, I'll continue to stay with her. I don't care. I'll live, strive to be with her even as a human. I wouldn't be able to live any other way.
