43. Birthday Boy

Luke's POV

That was weird. Legoshi had a job and I didn't even know about it.

He must've got it yesterday I thought. Yesterday...

Then I remembered. I rushed to the kitchen to look at the date.

'April 9 802019' it read.

Something happens today.. I thought What happens today?

I wracked my brain, trying to remember what happens on this very day. I was sure it was today. I looked in newspapers we had, I looked on TV, I looked at the calendar. Nothing gave any hints as to what happened today.

I thought on it as I went upstairs and went into our bedroom. I slouched on the bed and looked around. I looked at the door, then my eyes drifted over to the height chart on the door frame.

That's too cute I thought, looking at how little Legoshi was when he was a child. Then, I caught a glimpse of the bottom of it.

'04/09/802000 - 2'0"' it read.

That's it! I thought. It's Legoshi's birthday today!

I had to do something. First, I had to find some of his friends so they could help me get a party together.

"Let's see," I muttered, grabbing his phone and looking through his contacts. He had an entire group chat for everyone in the drama club. I looked through and saw that he was friends with all of them, except some guy called Bill. I invited them all to the chat along with Legoshi's dormmates and a selection of other people. Then, I sent a message to it.
