It's been 90 degrees over here, I was just inspired by the thought of snow and cold weather. Please read to the end, it's not just usual Christmas festivity.

You woke up and took in a deep, chilly breath. It was cold in Bobby's house, which was where you and your brothers were staying for... Christmas! You bolted upwards remembering that today, in fact, was Christmas.

You loved the holiday, even though it wasn't really celebrated as a hunter. It was just seeing family and friends and having a good time. You took a peak out the window and deflated in disappointment, no snow. It was a childish dream for you to wake up and see a winter 'wonderland' outside, you remembered it was always so magical when you were younger. Yet, today was still Christmas and you were determined to make things happy.

You grabbed one of your speakers that Dean forbid you to install in "Baby" and ran over to the fireplace. You had it lit in no time and soon warmth spread across the room. Then, you plugged your Ipod into the speaker and started playing Christmas carols.

The music wasn't loud enough to wake the boys but it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas. More like sound... the house looked very sad compared to normal festivity. So, you snuck into Dean's room and grabbed the Impala's car keys.

Coming back with a cheap Christmas tree and lights, you began decorating. Soon, everything was perfect and merry.

"Y/n." Sam stumbled into the room. "Is that a- a tree? Are you playing Christmas carols?"

"I decided to deck the halls," you said proudly. Sam just groaned and sat down on a chair, grabbing a book. You were humming to some tunes, neatly organizing gifts under the tree when Dean and Bobby wandered to the room.

"Merry Christmas!" you cheered.

"Y/n-" Dean sighed.

"Oh, don't be so grumpy, this is supposed to be the day we're all happy."

The boys nodded, happy was a rare thing in the hunting business. Soon, their tired looks turned into smiles as the twinkling lights and coffee set in. Sam left to his room and came back with some presents, and soon Dean and Bobby followed suit.

"Do we get to open gifts now?" Dean raised an eyebrow at you, you could almost feel some excitement rolling off of him.

"No!" you half-shouted. "Where's Cas?" Your happiness faltered a bit when you realized your boyfriend of three years hadn't showed up yet.

"I don't know, Y/n." Sam gave you a sympathetic look. "You sure he's coming? You could always pray to him-"

"No, he's coming. He gave me his word and-" There was a flap of wings coming from outside the house. You raced over and opened the door, revealing Cas and Gabriel. "Cas!" You flung yourself into his arms.

"Glad to see you too, Sweetheart," you heard Gabriel chuckle, then you could almost feel the glare radiating off of your favorite angel. You separated yourself from Cas and let both of the angels in.

"What took you so long?" Dean smiled as he walked over to the newcomers.

"We were working on a present," Cas replied. Looks of confusion worked into the boys' expressions. Gabe tilted his head to the window and you saw white flakes falling and slowly starting to cover the land. Then the music changed to White Christmas and everyone, even the angels, laughed at timing.

"Well," you chuckled, "I've been dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know."

Soon everyone had a glass of eggnog, though Castiel kept on commenting of the molecule taste, and was seated around the tree. Gabriel next to Sam and you next to Cas.

"I'll be Santa." Dean got up from his chair and handed presents around.

You got a bottle of whiskey from Dean, typical but appreciated. A bracelet with a hand carved amulet from Sam. Of course you got chocolate from Gabriel, and Bobby gave you some lore books. Cas gave you your own trench coat with small black wings sewn up by the collar.

"Thanks guys." You got up and gave everybody hugs. They seemed to like the presents you gave them, Cas was already switching his tie out for the new one.

You started slicing up the turkey you had started earlier and Bobby stood next to you, helping prepare other foods like green beans, mashed potatoes, and fruit salad. You had gotten all of these foods for a great deal, going a little over the budget, but hey! it was Christmas, and it would nice to have your stomachs full for once.

Finally, everyone was lounging again. You laughed as Sam and Dean told funny stories from your childhood and silly hunts you had been on.

"Thank you y/n," Sam spoke up, "for setting this Christmas up for us. It's been really nice." Everybody nodded in silent agreement. You smiled and relaxed at bit, glad with your mission accomplished. Then you saw Cas get up, looking uneasy.

"Everything okay, Cas?" Dean leaned forwards. You tilted your head to the side, a habit you learned from your angel in a trench coat. But then you saw Gabriel smirk at you, what the heck was going on?

"I... have... one last present for Y/n," Cas stuttered. You watched with curiosity as he slowly reached into his pocket and brought out a small velvet box. Cas grabbed your hand and led you to the middle of the room where he dropped down to one knee.

A bolt of realization rippled through your mind.

"Y/n Winchester, you have taught me the meanings of many things. Love, for example, is one of them," Cas spoke like he rehearsed every word, which he probably did, Gabriel's smirk was the proof. "Love, being such a human emotion, I thought I would never be able to accomplish that. But... then I met you. I couldn't imagine loving anyone more dearly." Then he sucked in a breath, you knew what he was going to say next. You already had your answer. "Y/n, will you do me the honor of joining me in holy matrimony?"

Cas opened the box to reveal a beautiful diamond ring with a silver band. The gem glittered in the Christmas lights and it almost matched the sparkle in Castiel's eyes.

"Yes," you sighed. It all felt so surreal! "Yes, I will marry you, Cas!" Cas stood up and immediately you wrapped your arms round his waist and tilted your head up to kiss him.

The room erupted into cheers and you felt many eyes on you as Cas slipped the ring on your finger. You shared another kiss, which was passionate and long.

"Shouldn't he have asked for my blessing-?"

"Shut up, Dean!"
