Logan's POV

"Logan, we found Draco. He's in Chicago"

Immediately after I hung up, a text was received on my phone.

Don't worry Logan, I won't get her just yet. But I will, very soon.

I knew exactly who it was and it was taking a lot of self control for me not to slam my fist against the wall. I squeezed my phone as much as I could, however not breaking it. I walked back to the room to find Emily, but found her nowhere.

"If you're finding your Cinderella she is not here. She's gone out for a walk with tía Leticia." Diego said, his eyes fixed on the television screen as he sensed my worry.

"Thanks" I said before running towards the entrance of the house. I knew the chances of being pulled in by one of Emily's relatives for a chit chat was highly available so I used the back door instead. Once I was out, I looked around frantically, hoping she was safe and sound. I ran across the backyard, my heart thumping in my ears keeping a high alert for her.

When my eyes landed on her walking hand-looped with her mother, a sigh of relief escaped my lips. She looked so happy. I could tell they were speaking in Spanish, but I didn't care.

The woman in front of me was driving me crazy and I was doing absolutely everything to keep her away from me. But it was for the best. I was danger, and I didn't want her in any danger.

Silently, I made my way towards them, hoping they would sense my presence so I wouldn't interrupt. Luckily, they did and they turned around to face me.

"Bueno, I'll leave you two to talk. Buenas noches mi niña. Feliz Navidad." (Translation: Well, I'll leave you two to talk. Goodnight my girl. Merry Christmas) She kissed Emily's cheek and walked away.

"We need to talk" I said once her mother was a good distance away.

"Sure what's up?" She casually said, her hands in the pockets of her jeans. I could tell she was cold, and as tempting as it was to give her my jacket, I focused on being ruthless, on keeping her away from me.

"Draco is here, in Chicago. We are going back to New York in the morning" Her eyes widened in surprise but she simply nodded before I followed her back inside the house.

Emily's POV

Once we entered the house I led him to my bedroom. This was by far the most awkwardest thing I've ever had to do in my entire life. My heart was still thumping by the fact that Draco was in Chicago, and I knew without doubt that he was here for me. But for some reason, being around Logan took away half my fear. I pushed the door to my room open and allowed him inside.

"I would have gotten you a guest bedroom but since my cousins are staying too there aren't any more rooms left, and since you're my "boyfriend" my mother expected us to sleep in the same room anyways. But I'll take the couch" I told him, pointing at the small couch positioned beside the window of my room.

"I'll take the couch" he replied coldly, before walking towards it and dropping his blazer on it. He then loosened his tie and dropped it on the couch as well.

"Are you sure, I really don't mind-"

"I said I'll take it." He said again, making me flinch by the tone he had just used with me. I mumbled an okay before changing into my pyjamas and settling into my bed. Just as I was about to drift off, I heard Logan returning from the bathroom, making his way towards the couch before we both fell into peaceful sleep.

"Wake up" I heard someone shaking me awake. I slowly peeled my eyes open to see a fully dressed Logan waking me up.

"What time is it?" I questioned sleepily, rubbing my eyes as I got into a sitting position.

"Half past ten. We have to leave in an hour. Go get ready" He replied coldly. Again. I decided to keep quiet and just go with it. I mean he was saving my life. Maybe that's what's got him on edge. I ignored myself and got ready before heading downstairs to say goodbye to the rest of my family.

Not long later, we were landing on the grounds of New York City. I kept my head held high even though Logan had gone back to being his cold-self. I paid no attention and tried to keep as less contact with him as I could. Once I got home, I wouldn't see him again, I would go back to ignoring him, even if Draco was after me.

When we were seated inside his SUV, I couldn't wait to arrive my house. But Logan had other plans and when the driver missed the exit to my house I looked at Logan and pointed out the window. When he didn't react I spoke.

"You missed the exit to my house"

"That's because we aren't going to your house"

"They where the hell are we going?" I sort of yelled, somewhat losing my patience with his simple, cold remarks.

"You'll be staying with me"

A/N

I know it's a short chapter, I'm sorry! I had a lot of work to do, and that is not just some lame excuse I am using.  I will make it up to you all in the next chapter. Any chapter thoughts or future predictions??
