Mother offers us separate bedrooms
She offers to change our schools
Offers us so many luxuries
That just considering them
Makes our heads swim
With fear and confusion.
We decide to sleep together
Like always
Under one blanket
Like always
Me and Suki, Suki and I
Like a moiety
Two halves of a whole
Joined at the hip
So many words
I try to describe us properly
But I haven't found a perfect one
Not yet
Probably not ever.
The only thing we ask for
Is for Suki to move
To my school
Mother agrees
She smiles and hugs us
