It's like I'm dying.

that had shed it's old skin
only to be forced violently
into it again.
I shrink back to old Harmony,
to scared and jumpy Harmony,
to spiteful and wide-eyed Harmony,
as I stand under his gaze.
I feel Suki gasp lightly behind me.
Then the spell breaks,
and we don our old masks
once more.
"Oh daddy, we missed you!"
Shouts Suki,
her voice high pitched
and almost artificial.
I join in,
but my heart stutters
and my head reels.
