"You'll never guess what I
found the other day."
Orsai has a room all to herself now,
the girls share and Joeas sleeps
with Aoi.
Her window looks out to
their back garden.
It makes me realize
for a moment
that I've never
ventured out to Mother's backyard.
Faint laughter and the sounds of
the kids playing
fill the silence.
"What is it?" I look at Orsai.
"Okay, so it's basically a cartoon."
She grabs Aoi's laptop from her desk,
the brings it to the bed
where I sit.
"I don't know how to pronounce it,
but that doesn't matter.
I started watching it already,
but we can start from the
beginning."
I blink at her screen
as she hits play
and the opening song starts
"Let's set out on a big journey,
to where the sun and wind are~"
I jump a little when I realize that
the song is Japanese
but I spot the English subtitles
and realize Orsai doesn't
understand
Japanese.
Oh, this is that thing Mei was
talking to me about.
I think.
"I think it's called anime."
Orsai says.
