Kalpi's POV:
"Focus Kalpana focus"
"You shouldn't be nervous but very calm"
I say to my reflection and leave the restroom

The ceremony is about to begin and I've been trying not to look at Raghav but it's hard when he keeps on looking at me

"I have yet to meet my son in law"
The woman I suppose is Roma's mom says excitedly
Viki takes her blessings
"Nice to meet you. I'm Viki...sorry.. Vikram Parulkar"
He says and it's obvious that he's nervous
"You don't have to be so modest Viki"

Roma's mom says with a small giggle..weird
"Don't mind me. Roma told me about how you guys met and her description of you is really different form how you are now. Are you nervous?"
She asks and Viki nods with a shy smile
"Well don't be"
She says then directs her attention to me
"And you are?"
"Kalpana Jadhav. Viki's cousin"
I say with a pure smile
She returns the smile and walk over to Raghav

Viki leans in and whispers in my ear
"I'm gonna go check on Roma"
He says softly
"You just can't wait to see her"
I say teasingly
He smirks and leaves

"So where is your special someone Raghav?"
Roma's mom asks Raghav and it seems like she is 100% sure that he really doesn't have someone

"Did someone call me?"
I say as I walk over to where Raghav is standing and stands beside him with a smile
"Excuse me?"
Roma's mom says
"I believe I am Raghav's special someone"
"Really?"
"Yes"
Time for you to come up with a cover story Kalpi..just let it flow

"When I met Raghav at the airport on that wonderful day I immediately remembered when I met him on another day. I thought it was probably just coincidence but I saw him again that night at a party and I felt there was more to it that a coincidence. I found out that during those days when I was experiencing my trauma Raghav had always been by my side and always cared for me. He was the one who risked the relationship between him and a lady who had been his friend for over 15 years just to make sure I'm okay. Then I began to realize that even I cared for him too. We don't really have anything going on now and he really doesn't have a special someone yet....but maybe that could change"

I say as I look Raghav in his eyes. No words from them.
I can see from my peripheral vision that Aunt smiles
"I'm glad to know that a new relationship might just bloom soon and I'm in full support of it".
She says then chuckles a little. I'm still looking at Raghav and he's looking back at me
I hope I can still move. I meant every word I said

Aunt smiles and leaves
I turn and quickly hurry to the restroom.. again

Raghav's POV:
What. just. happened?
Did Kalpi really say all those words?
Did she mean it?
I don't know if I can focus on this ceremony right now which has already started

Roma is dressed in a red designer saree and Viki won't stop staring. I saw a tear drop from Aunt's eyes.. she's gonna be crying a lot on the wedding day. She really didn't spend that much time with her daughter but still knows her so well.

The dancing will start soon which is my cue to leave.
I'm about to leave when I hear someone call me. I turn to face...Kalpi - great.
It just had to be her.
She walks up to me
"I just want you to know that I meant every word I said. I really do like you"
She says calmly
"Well"
"You don't have to say anything"
She says cutting me off
"I will leave now"
She says and hurries off.
She's shy..and it's cute
"Let's dance Kalpi"
Roma says excitedly
She takes Kalpi's and Pakhi's hands
"Com'on' you two"
She says
I really should start going before Aunt comes
I turn to leave and I face Aunt. I turn back and sit down...why argue when I won't win

Music begins playing and it's nice to watch them dance together

Soon some kids come around and begin a choreography with a hip hop song

People come out and begin dedicating songs to their loved ones

No one dares to sing a song to me. I hate music

"Ragi dear"
That gives me the creeps. What does my Aunt want now
"Go on and dedicate a song to Kalpi"

What! Is she crazy - well yeah she is.. she's the craziest woman I've ever met

"I don't want to"
I say immediately.. I know I would lose this argument but I still just can't give in
"You must"
She says with a frown and just like that she wins

I actually do sing a song to her and lots of people complement me saying that I'm an amazing singer

jeez I'm blushing

...note the sarcasm

"My grand daughter is getting married and no one invited me!"

What is my grandma doing here?
