Noah
I opened my eyes and cringed at the familiar scene that played in front of me. It was us but few years younger. Chris sat beside me at the table. He roared with laughter as he said something that was in remotely funny. Eve shook her head but a small smile started to grow on her face. Drake, who was beside her, chuckled and nudged her.
"Noah?" Jacob said from behind me. I turned around and he looked ahead confused. "Where are we?"
"My grade school," I whispered and stood up from the table.
Chris looked confused and asked, "Hey. Where are you going?"
"I need to talk with him. You know." I made a fist in my hand and he nodded. Grabbing Jacob I pulled him away and into the hallway.
"Was that Ch..."
"Not now Jacob!" I hissed and he closed his mouth.
The sound of high heels clicked and I instantly knew who it was. "Hey Noah! Not going to give me a goodbye kiss?"
"Sorry... babe. I had to show him around. You know how the principal is," I told Jessica. She tilted her head slightly to look at Jacob then at me. She made a pouty face and walked closer.
"Awe but I wanted to eat lunch with my boyfriend. Can't you deal with this punk later?" she wrapped her arms around my neck and gave Jacob a disgusted look.
"Babe? Boyfriend? What?"
"That's right. He's taken." Jessica told him.
"Jessica, now's not the best time. I'll meet up with you later, okay?" I said and untangled myself from her. I took Jacob's arm and we left.
Jacob looked at me, "I'm so confused. What is happening?"
I took Jacob to a secluded spot before answering, "Somehow we are trapped in the past. What you are seeing is teenager me."
"Noah. You're still a teen."
"Younger me. Chris is my stepbrother and that girl Jessica is my old girlfriend and to be honest I only liked her a little," I rambled before taking a deep breath.
Jacob raised in eyebrow. "You didn't have to tell me all of that. You know right."
"I know but it felt good. Like all of my worries are washed away."
"You could have just told that to my face, Noah." Jessica growled, stepping out from behind the building. "And for a second I thought you actual loved me."
She's going to kill me. I looked at Jacob, "Run."
