Something weird is happening.
Back then, he used to live in my mind, literally. Wherever my consciousness might wander, it would always find its way back to the thoughts of him.
However he never visited me at night, in my dreams I mean.
But now, the very thought of him terrifies me.
Now I'm afraid to even allow my mind to think of him. And since I've been pushing the idea of him to my unconsciousness, he hasn't been leaving my dreams these days.

I only came to this analysis because psychology says that dreams are more commonly considered as a window into the unconscious mind (Freud).
