Three years.

The mission was finally over, but y/n couldn't even bring herself to smile about it.

Her once vibrantly crimson eyes seemed cold, dead, and devoid of emotion. These were people, after all. Her mission ended, but at what cost?

She wished the Japanese Yakuza had killed her before she got this far. It felt as if she had just plunged a sword into her parents' heart, and everything considered, she did.

Once highly-ranked villains within the international mafia community, they had her and settled in Japan, forming a separate branch just for themselves to have control over. They could've chosen anywhere; her father was Japanese, so it was fitting for her to be born in Japan.

Y/n took a deep breath and opened her eyes to see Peter Parker a few inches from her face. Over the past three years, Peter hadn't changed very much, practically becoming Tony Stark's adoptive son through all of this. He was even made the godfather of Stark's daughter.

"Are you alright?" Peter asked, stopping waving his hand in front of her face. "I thought you'd fallen asleep standing; you didn't respond to us calling your name."

"I'm fine, I just spaced out a bit," y/n glanced around her at the Italian streets, her eyes adjusting to the light of having them open during the day. "Are we actually done? I thought this was supposed to take ten years."

"It was placed at ten years to have 2 years per division," Fury explained from the seat across from her. "Two years is how long it would've taken for Hawks to have infiltrated and destroyed the Japanese branch. The same for how long it would've taken for Natasha Romanoff to take over the Russian and Central Asian branches. They based the time on that estimate. In reality, it could've taken either much longer or much shorter. However, I am surprised that you all pulled it off in three years. Even I hadn't expected that."

"That's all thanks to Miss. Tsukiakara!" Peter grinned, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "We wouldn't have pulled it off if it wasn't for her quick finish with the Japanese."

"Now isn't the best time to mention that," Natasha placed a gentle hand on Peter's arm, forcing him to let y/n go. "That was the branch her parents formed after moving to Japan. It wasn't easy for her to be able to destroy it without hesitation. You might want to wait to celebrate."

"Oh-oh god, I hadn't realized that; I am so sorry, Miss. Tsukiakara-"

"Call me Crescent," y/n corrected him, not looking at him as she spoke in her perfectly controlled and emotionless voice. "This mission is over. We should all go home now. I'm tired and wish to sleep; it's noon."

"Right, you're nocturnal now that you took off the quirk dampeners," he remembered. "Sorry for bothering you. Mr. Stark, sir, we should get going now, shouldn't we?"

"Yeah, we should," Stark looked concerned at y/n as she kept her gaze somewhere ahead of her, zoning out again. "Miss. Crescent, how would you like to show us around Japan?"

"Huh?" y/n asked, zoning back in instantly and looking at him incredulously. "Why would you want to be shown around Japan?"

"It's on Peter's bucket list," Stark smiled serenely, but y/n saw through it. "We can attend the press meeting that's bound to be set up when you're spotted in public, right?"

Y/n thought for a moment. Generally speaking, the American heroes and their civilians can gain new knowledge about the Japanese culture. They could learn how y/n's hero system functioned. If that happened, it would probably increase the number of heroes in the world.

On the other hand, she'd have to deal with Stark longer than she was supposed to, along with translating everything for them that Natasha didn't help with.
