The injuries that All for One inflicted on y/n were severe at best. 

Many people realized that she almost died while Mount Lady watched over her, helplessly. She was already starting to bleed out by the time she received medical attention. If her quirk didn't allow her to receive any blood type, she wouldn't have survived the fight.

Instead of dying as y/n expected she would, for taking on such a deadly enemy, she only had to spend some time in the hospital. It wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been as she was allowed to have visitors. Edgeshot, Kamui, and even Mirko came by to congratulate her on not dying.

The downsides outweighed the advantages though, by a landslide. 

Keigo hadn't come to visit her this entire time. Most people were surprised that he didn't even pop in and say hi. 

Y/n's hospital room number was made public as she was followed by several civilians and news reporters when Kamui carried her inside the hospital for treatment.

She also couldn't do much more than sit up, because her doctors didn't want to take the risk of letting her walk. 

Y/n was allowed to eat, at least.

She wasn't, though. 

The thought of it made her want to throw up even though she hadn't had anything in her system for weeks. In the end, they were forced to give her IV needles with nutrients daily so she didn't starve to death while trying to tempt her to eat. 

The only person who was successful in getting her to eat a few bites was Shoto. The only times he had time to come in was a few times a week, and only to drop off the homework her teacher assigned and keep her updated on the hero world.

"Y/n-nee?" Shoto asked.

He peeked his head through the door, unsure if he should come in.

He wasn't sure if she was still asleep, because it was around sunset right now. However, this was the time he usually came to visit, so she was already up. 

Pain ripped through y/n's torso as she sat up, but it didn't show on her face. 

She glanced over at Shoto, a smile making its way to her face as she recognized that the intruder was him.

"You're awake," Shoto confirmed. "That's good, I thought maybe you slept in again."

"No, I've been awake for a while. I was trying to walk earlier and I didn't pop any stitches or anything, so I'm allowed out soon."

"That's awesome. You asked about mom last time I came in, and I'm coming from her room in the mental institution right now. She's doing a lot better and is getting healthier."

"That's awesome. I would like to meet her, but she most likely wouldn't appreciate the intrusion. I am a stranger, after all."

"She asked about you, and if you would like to meet her. She saw your fight on the news as everyone else did, and I told her that you were my adoptive sister. Mom does want to meet you."

"It's probably because she wants to see what kind of a monster Endeavor brought into your family," y/n decided. "I only survived that fight because Allmight saved me. Doesn't that show how weak I am? If I was able to just- fight without restraint, wouldn't Allmight still be a hero?"

"You would've hurt people you weren't intending to hurt if you did that," Shoto denied her claim. "And he was nearing the end of his hero career anyhow. If you didn't jump in when you had, Jeanist and a lot of your sidekicks would have died."

"That's no excuse for me being weak," y/n explained. "Just watch. Endeavor's going to kill me when I get discharged for not beating the villain Allmight barely beat."
