Everyone was getting ready. Today was the Mehandi ceremony. Devesh was ready and was about to go out when someone knocked the door of his room.

"Kya hua mumma? Kuch chahiye tha kya?"
(What happened mom? Do you need anything?)
"Tujhse baat krni hai mujhe. Andar chal."
(I wanted to talk to you. Come inside)
" Kya baat hai mumma? Sab theek hai na?"
(What happened mom? Is everything alright?)
"Sab theek hai tu mujhe ek baat sach sach bta. Do you feel anything for Bhavna?"

"Maa! Aapko kaise-"

"Maa hu teri. I know everything. Now tell me."

Devesh was shocked for a moment. Was he that obvious, he thought. But now there was no point hiding and moreover he had to tell his mother anyways.
"Yes maa, i love her."
"Do you even plan on getting married to her?"
She asked playfully.
"Ofcourse i want to marry her mumma."
Devesh said quickly but then scratched the back of his neck nervously when he saw his mother giving a naughty smile. But then she turned serious and asked.
"Does she know? Did you tell her? What did she say? Kya wo bhi tujhse pyaar krti hai?"

"Nhi mumma i haven't told her yet. Aaj bataunga shaam ko."
(I will tell her today evening)
"Okay. But don't force her.
"I know mumma. I would never."
Saroj nodded and kissed his forehead. They went outside. Devesh saw Bhavna sitting alongside Chhaya, both of them getting their Mehandi done and laughing at something they were talking about.
