"Good morning!" a gentle voice whispered as the first rays of sunlight hit her eyes.

"Hello?" A weak response followed, unsure of the current situation.

Siph sprang up suddenly yelling out Venti's name. She fell asleep without getting a chance to talk to him. Thankfully, he was still there.

"I'm here." He said as he looked at the slowly painted blue sky. "You wanted to say something, didn't you? That's why you came all the way here."

Siph stuttered for a second. Every morning still felt unusual. The realization that she saw this tree, this exact layout of forests, slimes, and crystalflies. It felt surreal as all that first comes to mind - it is a dream.

Having the ability to have a memory from the "other side," created so many questions. Unfamiliar feelings, experience, abilities, power. She accepted it as hers, but it's not easy to accept present as reality.

Does it feel painful when you get hurt? - Of course.

Though, will it change the way one thinks of the world - no.

It is hard to reteach a child that already learned how to speak. No time can fix the association one can give it.

"Venti..." she hummed in tune of the wind, caressing her hair backwards as it felt increasingly necessary to get into her mouth. "What were you doing these past years?"

His pupils shrunk for a second and then dilated. "I was asleep..." He called, "After we parted ways, something struck inside me where all I could do is fall into a slumber losing my form. Sometimes I would awaken and be able to play a little melody, before I was brought back by some force."

So many questions, with so little answers. "It's probably hers doing." Siph spoke as she smiled.

"By the way, Venti. When will you be meeting Morax? To drink... you know?"

"Oh," he questioned her with eyes full of sparkling curiosity. "Why, want to join?" He snickered as he nudged her side slightly.

"Maybe if wine wasn't the last thing I smelled in the other world, I would have said yes," she smiled, eyes expressing sadness. It wasn't the type of sadness everyone would typically think of. Her eyes contained something that Venti couldn't grasp. Was it fear?

"Would you like to tell me what happened to get it off your heart?" He suggested as both saw the now orange clouds embracing the first rays of sunlight.

Siph takes a deep breath, "As you know I'm not from here. I am from a place where technology rules the world. You could speak to anyone over large distance and play videogames for one's entertainment. I lived with my mother; we had a cat too. The house was old, and we had a cellar that had lots of old wine stored in there. It was right under the kitchen." She paused to take a gasp of air, laying the hands behind her and crossing the legs in front of her, "One day, my cat started a fire where I was unable to get to the exit, and everything that was left was to jump over the counter. Unfortunately, the wood under my feet collapsed and I fell onto the cellar where some bottles broke, and the wine spilled all over the floor. Glass pieces went inside my bare feet, while my shoulder got out of position, dislocated." She then grabbed her shoulder almost like feeling the same pain she did back then, "I couldn't call for help and could only see the horror of flames getting closer and closer to me. The fire eventually spread onto the wine, and everything was set in the crimson dance of death, where all I could is smell of the burning flesh and the strong wine scent," she recapped in few breaths, where her hands eventually started to tremble. Now that she was not in her Archon form, she seemed like an ordinary girl with feelings, fears, and worries.
