(ENG) KUROKO NO BASKET ONESHOTS

KUROKO HEADCANONS

Hello everyone! I have something a bit different this Sunday, which has been requested by Herosperger in the comments: headcanons! In particular, I have been asked to write oneshots concerning Kuroko and his single mother, so I tried to imagine how such a mother-son relationship would be like. I tried my best but it's my first time writing these, so feel free to let me know your opinion in the comments, not only about these headcanons but also about headcanons in general (if you like this format and want to read more or not). Enjoy!

KUROKO AS A CHILD

· He's a quiet toddler, but he can be very lively when he plays with his favourite toys.

· He sometimes tells his mom about his desire to have a dad, but after noticing her expression saddening he immediately reassures her. In fact, whenever someone comments about his mom not having a partner and being therefore incapable of properly taking care of her child, he instantly says: "My mom is the best!"

· They play board games or videogames together, but they both want the other one to win to see them happy.

· Year after year, during his years in kindergarten and primary school, Kuroko has made a gift for his mom every Mother and Father's Day. She keeps all these precious presents in a light blue box and sometimes looks at them with a smile on her lips.

· He loves the half hour before going to sleep, because his mom reads him with the sweetest of voices amazing stories about princes and knights, sirens and fire-breathing dragons.

· One of his most precious belongings is the first white, red and blue mini-basketball that his mom bought him when he started playing this sport.

KUROKO AS A HIGH-SCHOOL STUDENT

· He's extremely proud of his mother and grateful for all her efforts to make him grow surrounded by affection. He doesn't think of him living without a father as that huge of a problem, seeing how amazing his mom is.

· He always helps with the chores, often without him being asked to do so, and during her toughest days he prepares his mom a breakfast in bed.

· He doesn't pressure his mom to find a new partner and whenever she gets a date with someone, he wants to make sure that the man is going to respect her and treat her kindly.

· Kuroko's mother pays a lot of attention to his needs and, in spite of his kind of mysterious attitude, she immediately understands what's going on and knows exactly what to say to make him feel better.

· Kuroko doesn't really enjoy being covered in kisses, but he always lets his mom shower him with affection every time he reaches a goal or something beautiful happens in their lives.

· He still keeps his old basketball clean and inflated, even though he doesn't use it anymore. Every time he grabs it, a sweet wave of melancholy hits him.

· Kuroko's mother strongly believes in him and that really pleasures him. Whenever her job allows her to, she goes to see her son's basketball matches and encourages him – she doesn't shout, though, because she knows that Kuroko doesn't really like it.

· Since Kuroko perfectioned his shooting technique, he always dedicates the last shot of the game to his teammates and the most beautiful one to his mom – and she knows that, because right after the shot enters the hoop they look and smile at each other.
