"(Name), it's time to get up!"

Your mom just walked into your room, sitting on the edge of the bed and forcing you to wake up.

"Mmmmh, five more minutes..."

"Come on, it's time. You don't want to be late for your first day of high school, I hope!"

The thought of the new adventure that awaits you helps you take courage and you decide to get out of the covers. Middle school wasn't great for you, so all your hopes are pinned toward high school: you really hope to find great friends to build strong bonds with. After getting ready and having breakfast, you say goodbye to your parents and your little brother (wishing him a good first day of school) and you walk towards the place of your new beginning: the Seirin Institute.

Everything inside the school looks new: immaculate desks, chairs and doors that don't creak, spotless floors, not to mention the extremely well-kept courtyard ... You can see that it's a brand new school.

Once you enter the classroom you take a seat, arranging what you need and waiting for the class to populate with your new classmates.

"Wohoo, these classrooms are great! Aren't they, Mito?" – a boy with cat lips makes his entrance next to a taller boy, who responds with a nod to his amazement.

The two sit at the desks next to yours, and once settled they turn towards you:

"Hi!"

"Hi guys."

"I am Koganei Shinji, nice to meet you! And he's my friend Mitobe Rinnosuke!"

"The pleasure is mine. I'm (Name and surname)."

"Oi, Hyugaaaa!" – a boy in the hallway calls out for someone. He follows him for a while, until he stops, sighing and entering your classroom.

"Did something happen? Can we help you?" – you ask him when he is within reach.

"Me? Thanks for asking, but don't worry: it's just that a friend of mine is particularly stubborn and doesn't want to listen to me. The fact is that his refusal makes it hard for me, I will never be able to found my club without him."

"Your club?" – asks Koganei.

"That's right. I discovered to my great disappointment that there's no basketball club here, and I want to make up for it! Do you like basketball?"

"Of course! I'll join your club! You too, right, Mito?"

The quiet Mitobe answers with a nod.

"Wonderful! I've met another guy before who wants to join as well, we just have to convince Hyuga and there will be five of us!"

"Uhm... " – you timidly introduce yourself– "If you like, I could join the club too. I really like basketball and I could be your manager."

"Are you joking?!" – exclaims the boy in front of you excitedly – "You're more than welcome! Now that we have all these additions, Hyuga can't keep refusing! See you!"

His voice becomes more and more muffled as he runs away from your classroom.

"He's a... particular guy, don't you think?" – asks Koganei.

"Definitely... he was so excited that he even forgot to introduce himself!" – you comment, snatching a laugh from your teammates – "But he looks like a good guy."
