"Hey, (Name-chan)!"

"Hi Shun! What brings you here?" – you ask your best friend, who has just entered your class.

"This Friday I celebrate my birthday and I wanted to invite you and the rest of the team for a dinner at Maji's. You know, one of our usual dinners. You're up, aren't you?"

"'Course! I would never miss it!"

"Great, let's see what the others have to say. See you!"

You greet him, watching him as he walks away gloating from happiness, and your cheeks are tinged with pink: it always makes you feel a little special that when he wants to organize something he asks you before anyone else, even if he's been doing it for a long time. After all, you'll never get used to the way he always manages to make you feel irreplaceable.

You return to your classes with your mind already turned to that Friday night: you'll have a hard time staying focused, considering all the scenarios that your imagination is already having fun creating.

(Timeskip to the birthday night)

"Hi guys!"

You greet your friends, gathered near the entrance of the fast food, receiving in return smiles and waving hands. You immediately look for your best friend to hug him and wish him the best of birthdays.

"And happy birthday, Shun!"

"Thank you, (Name-chan). Now that we're all here, I'd say we can get in!"

You head inside the chaotic fast food and order your favorite menus. Or rather, so do most of you: Izuki immediately notices that something is different from the usual.

"Kagami? How come you only ordered two burgers?"

"Well... Since you insisted on offering us dinner, I don't want to fleece you with the order I usually take."

"Don't worry about that. You're my friends and I want you to you eat whatever you like."

"Are you really sure? I mean-"

"Go, go." – Izuki interrupts him, pushing him towards the checkout to continue ordering.

"You're such a great friend, Izuki. Truly admirable." –Kiyoshi comments, full of pride like a father who sees his well-educated son grow up.

"I don't know if it's very admirable or very stupid to have your wallet emptied by Kagami..." –Hyuga adds, making you laugh.

At last you all gather withthe tray and immediately reach the big table where you usually sit, whichKuroko is keeping for you. Once you arrive, however, the table is alreadyoccupied by what seems the dinner of a large family. Kuroko is nowhere to beseen. At least until he decides to show up by clinging to the sleeve of Izuki'sjacket.

"Oi Kuroko, didn't you say you would keep it for us?!" –Kagami exclaims, visibly hungry and, consequently, nervous.

"I'm sorry, Izuki-senpai." – he begins, blatantly ignoring the red-haired boy – "I had sat down, but none of these people noticed me. I was about to tell them that the table was occupied, but that little girl was so excited that I couldn't send her away..."

"Classic. Actually, we could have thought about it twice, before sending an invisible and all too sensitive boy to keep the table..." – Hyuga mumbles.

"That's no big deal. We'll find another one."

"Mitobe said that there are other tables like this one downstairs. He knows this because he often goes there with his little sisters and grandparents. Right, Mito?"
