Narrator

That Sunday afternoon, after their museum date, Y/n-ssi and Haerin-ssi spent their time doing homework together.

They have been doing homework for 2 hours now. While y/n finished three different assignments, Haerin was not even halfway through her first one.

She was stuck on a problem for an hour now.

Y/n-ssi began to notice Haerin's struggle and began to write something on Haerin's paper.

"If you write it like this it's easier," Y/n-ssi told Haerin.

Haerin looked at what y/n had wrote on her note book and exclaimed, "AHHHHH~!"

"Who taught you this way?" Haerin-ssi asked y/n.

Y/n gave Haerin a small smile and said, "I'm dyslexic... so I had to learn a few tricks of my own."

- Haerin POV -

"I'm dyslexic, so I had to learn a few tricks of my own" Y/n-ssi said to me.

My heart stopped, surprised by the new informed.

"Dyslexia?" I thought to myself.

To most people it would seem odd, but I was kind of excited to learn that y/n-ssi had difficulties at times too.

"Oh I'm sorry, did I make it more confusing for you?" Y/n-ssi suddenly asked in a sad tone.

I realized I hadn't responded and exclaimed, "No No, this is better!'

"How do you know you're dyslexic?" I asked curiously.

People had compared my struggles with theirs or said they know how it feels when they really don't even know what it was. I was very curious to hear how y/n-ssi came to that conclusion.

"When I was younger, I struggled a lot.... I'd get so nervous while reading that.... umm, I would stutter. Eventually, my parents took me to get tested and ummm.. we learned that I had a hard time with reading words and numbers... and processing information," Y/n-ssi began to explain a bit nervously.

"Once my parents weren't around anymore, I had to learn things my own way... without many knowing how to help.. so I had to teach myself to read backwards or out of order. I also had to tech myself to condition my brain and memorize things a certain way so I could understand better," Y/n-ssi finished off.

Y/n seemed really uncomfortable with the topic.

"Are you still dyslexic?" I stupidly asked.

"Mhm, I've read this chapter four times by now and I still don't understand what it says!" Y/n-ah chuckled out.

I couldn't help but giggle at the sudden joke.

I leaned in to peek and see what y/n-ssi was reading and noticed them blacking out a lot of the words and sentences in the book.

I gasped in shock by how disrespectful y/n-ssi was being with a school book.

"You shouldn't write in a book that's not yours," I scolded.

"Oh, I bought this book. I always buy the school books so I can write in them!" Y/n-ssi answered as they crossed out another word on their book.

"Why do you write in your books?" I asked a bit confused.

"I cross out unnecessary words and write notes in the margins so I can better understand what I'm reading," Y/n explain.

I couldn't help but smile like an idiot at all the sudden and cute information.

Y/n-ssi and I had studied together before but up until now, I hadn't seen this kind of behavior from y/n.

After an hour later, I was finally able to move over to my next assignment. I noticed it was the assignment y/n-ssi was working on earlier.

We had to read three chapters of our class book and write a summary of what each chapter was about.

I was struggling for a bit, when y/n suddenly passed me their book and said... "Wanna try reading mine?"

I hesitated for a bit but ultimately accepted the offer.

I was really curious on how y/n-ssi learned things and processed information differently from me.

I began to open the book and read the chapters that were assigned.

I had my own book opened as well but my book seemed too hard compared to y/n's.

Unfortunately, with all the blackout words and sentences.... it was really had for me to read anything or even focus on the words... but luckily the notes y/n-ssi wrote in the margins were really helpful.

I really couldn't understand how to read y/n's book, so I went back to reading my own book.

My book was much easier to read after seeing all of y/n's notes in the margins of their book.

"Haerin-ssi?" Y/n-ah suddenly got my attention while I read.

"Mhm," I hummed out.

"Can I kiss you?" Y/n whispered making me freeze.

I started to become a blushing mess.

I really liked to kiss y/n-ssi.... but it was just a very overwhelming emotion.

"N-no," I stuttered out.

It's not that I didn't want to kiss y/n-ssi.... it's that it made me really nervous. It was all very new to me.

"Okay," Y/n-ssi softly answered.

I looked to my side slightly to see y/n's reaction to my answer... but as always, y/n never seemed bothered by my rejections.

Even though my rejection didn't seem to bother y/n-ssi, I knew it bothered them.

A few more hours went by and it was finally bedtime.
