juno stares down at the letter in front of him, ironically as maise finishes her letter to eloise and places it in the mailbox before climbing back into the van to drive.

"are you going to read it?" she asked

"i might"

"alright well, i'm driving so let me know if i need to stop" answered maise, pulling out to drive.

juno rips out the first letter that steve writes to him and reads it to himself, unsure what steve has to say.

dear juno,

i don't know if letters are your things, i know they're not mine but i heard dustin mention how mike's been sending eleven, some letters and how they've been writing back and forth. i wanted to do the same thing. thought it be nice to reach out this way, through paper rather than through phone. i know you're probably still upset or angry about what i broke up with you but when i say you have to trust me. i mean it.

juno takes a deep breath before continuing the letter

i think at some point, i fell in love with you, juno. but i never got to tell you because then it would hurt more. i don't know if you even fell in love as well; but i think the moment i knew was in love was when you came over my place after graduation

"are your parents not home?" juno asked entering the empty yet large house

"no, they're out again for some conference" answered steve

"and you just have the whole place for yourself?" asked juno

steve hums in response causing juno to feel sad for him but he keeps it to himself instead of outloud. steve said he'll show juno his room before grabbing juno's bag and leading him up to his room.

the minute, juno entered, he wasn't sure if this was the guest room or steve's actual room.

"i know it's not really...interesting but this is it"

a room always says alot about someone's personality and right now this one was screaming no personality. juno strives over to steve's bed, looking at the desk that had the watch he always wore.

"you don't wanna decorate your room?" asked juno

"i don't know what to decorate it with...i mean one time i tried putting up a billy joel poster, my mom told me i would be ruining the paint on the wall"

"you like billy joel?" juno asked

"yes, why? are you judging?"

juno let out a small laugh before taking off his shoes and asking steve if it was alright that he sat in his bed. steve nodded his head rapidly before following the lead.

the reason i never brought you before to my house was because i feared you would think i was some boring guy, that had a boring house and a boring room. i thought you would leave me because you're so much greater than me, juno. i admire you and who you are
