At this moment, the Originium container opened, and Xiu Xian turned to look at Crownslayer. "Aren't you going to stay away?"

Crownslayer snapped back to reality, turned away, and went to the adjacent room, asking, "What are you going to use to carry these things?"

"Just find some torn clothes to wrap them in," Xiu Xian swiftly took out the Originium from the pile, and among the Originium, there was also a piece of paper.

Xiu Xian felt delighted. Nice, Chen, we do have some understanding.

With one hand placing the Originium into the clothes beside him, Xiu Xian quickly unfolded the piece of paper and read its contents.

"Be careful!" Crownslayer outside heard the clattering sound of Xiu Xian placing the Originium and was startled. "What if it explodes?"

"I know, I'm being cautious." Xiu Xian continued placing the Originium while he looked at the contents of the paper.

The content on the paper wasn't written in words; it consisted of lines and dots.

Morse code.

Since it was a message left behind, Chen wouldn't just write a sentence and throw it inside because the place for storing Originium was secure. If she did that, Xiu Xian would suspect Chen was actually trying to sabotage him.

Safety was the first concern for a spy, and Chen naturally knew that. Secret codes had to be used in such situations.

Xiu Xian could clearly read the content on the paper, but his brows furrowed.

The message on the paper was concise: "There's a mole in Lungmen, computer data has been stolen, you might be in danger. I'll investigate."

When Xiu Xian read this line, his face darkened!

Damn it, just yesterday he was assured that only Chen knew his identity, and today he was being told there might be danger.

Was this the world of Detective Conan? Was Lungmen a Japanese police station? Did they also keep undercover information from the FBI and CIA on their computers?

Although he thought that way, Xiu Xian conjured a flame in his hand and burned the piece of paper.

It seemed like a trip to Lungmen was inevitable!

Xiu Xian even had a feeling that only he can be trusted to protect his identity.

These LGD personnel were unreliable as hell!

Meanwhile, Crownslayer's voice outside changed slightly. "I told you to be careful. What's with the Originium energy fluctuations?"

"I accidentally dropped one, it's fine, just a normal phenomenon," Xiu Xian said as he moved the stones while inside.

"I think I'll keep my distance a little farther," Crownslayer took a few steps back.

After a while, Xiu Xian wrapped the thirty-three pieces of Originium in the torn clothes and walked out from inside.

Crownslayer looked at Xiu Xian carrying a bundle of clothes, and unconsciously took a few more steps to the side.

"Don't worry," Xiu Xian glanced at Crownslayer and said, "If you're exposed, I can treat you."

Crownslayer sarcastically replied, "Your way of comforting people is quite unique. But can this thing of yours handle it? Won't it break?"

At the moment, the bundle on Xiu Xian's back had visible bulges, caused by the sharp edges of the Originium.

Xiu Xian's face showed some embarrassment. "Uh... I was too focused on having fun while making these, and forgot about portability."

"Where did you even get these things?" Crownslayer walked to the door, poking her head out to check the situation on the street, and casually asked.

At this time, Originium could be considered real "currency." After all, almost all energy consumption was related to Originium.

And Xiu Xian's bundle was worth quite a bit of money.

"I stored them, and some were stripped from infected individuals," Xiu Xian said casually. "You understand what I mean, right?"

Crownslayer's movements stiffened slightly, but she quickly recovered. "Okay, now that we've got them, let's retreat. It's safe outside."

Whether it was due to their previous conversation, or if Crownslayer became used to it, or Xiu Xian's offer to help with her treatment. Crownslayer observed the outside through the window while instinctively extending her hand backward.

"Carrying this thing is inconvenient," Xiu Xian walked up to Crownslayer and said, "Now that I have the Originium, I don't need to rely on you for power anymore. Lead the way, let's leave this place."

Crownslayer paused for a moment, glancing at Xiu Xian beside her. She clenched her extended hand into a fist and retracted it, letting out a small 'tsk' sound.

The two quickly rushed out of the gate, sticking close to the wall as they advanced swiftly.

However, halfway through, Crownslayer suddenly stopped. "Something's not right!"

"You're right," Xiu Xian squinted his eyes. "It's too quiet. Even during a crackdown, this isn't the style of the black market district. People running away is one thing, but wouldn't the newspapers and cardboard boxes still be here?"

Just as Xiu Xian finished speaking, Crownslayer suddenly exclaimed, "Retreat!"

She grabbed Xiu Xian and flung him to the side, while she herself forcefully pushed off the ground and lunged toward the other side!

In the instant the two evaded, a grenade fell from the sky and detonated right where they were a second ago!

Xiu Xian was flung against the adjacent wall and winced in pain.

He quickly turned to the side, one hand clutching his throbbing side shoulder, and complained, "Damn it, I shouldn't have sharpened this thing for the sake of aesthetics. How am I supposed to carry these sharp edges? Smooth would have been better."

"Left and right," Crownslayer said to Xiu Xian, pointing in his direction. "I'll handle the left, you handle the right."

Before Xiu Xian could reply, Crownslayer swiftly dashed out!

Crownslayer deftly dodged a few times and quickly arrived beside an ambushing gunner. It was a rooftop in the middle level, Crownslayer had already locked onto his position as soon as he had fired.

However, two guards wielding long knives suddenly emerged from both sides, as if they were lying in ambush.

Meanwhile, Crownslayer also heard a booming sound.

But she didn't have time to think about where the sound came from, as one of the guards had already lunged at her!

Just as he was about to strike Crownslayer, she suddenly vanished, reappearing behind him in an instant, the short knife at her waist was unsheathed and stabbed into the man's back

At the same time, without any pause, Crownslayer let go of her right hand, smoothly drawing the dagger on her left shoulder. With a horizontal slash, she cut the throat of another guard who was approaching, and then the dagger plunged diagonally into his heart!

The entire process took less than three seconds, but in the next moment, the sound of mechanical gears grinding made Crownslayer's hair stand on end!

There was still one more! The gunner!

She was ambushed as soon as she appeared, and after swiftly killing two people, she didn't have the chance to deal with the gunner. She thought the gunner would also charge at her, but... this guy seemed to have a firearm!

Crownslayer instinctively rolled to the side, but she didn't hear the sound of a bullet being fired.

Looking up, she saw that the gunner was now being held from behind, blood spurting from his neck.

"I saved you~, Lord Crownslayer," Xiu Xian tossed aside the person in his hand and grinned at Crownslayer. "Does that count as a merit?"
