Memories

Throwback to your love.

When the sun got blushes from the kisses you shared.

How roses deepened their crimsons and still felt inadequate to you.

Beside the fire that pretended to warm our bodies even though your presence was enough.

And to those glimpses that always lurked in bad days and took control.

Reassurance of eternal passion that only led me to these words.

Throwback to the pain.

Sweat in wounds and i never felt it beside yours.

Digging the earth just to make me a bed of ants.

And unsheathing the hidden pain in love, the worst of them all.

A feeling that seemed to have never ended, and here am savouring them in these words.

Throwback to the happiness.

Praying it never ends and yet scared it will.

Finding beauty in the love we shared and convinced the pain was worth it.

Moments that sweeps away doubts and in glimpses raises burdens of sorrow and of life.

What is the meaning of life? and your glimpses keeps playing themselves in my head.

Had i enough ink and paper to summon all of them.

Throwback to us.

Great together.

A story that would have made Romeo and Juliet seem like a hate story.

Except you never intended to audition for the part.

And here i am, left at crossroads, dreaming and hoping these words would swallow all the memories and leave me innocent and naive of your existence.
