My heart's in flames for what's not worth having,
A desire as deep and unyielding as the sea.The object of my love is distant and fleeting,
But I don't see a future that's mine to keep.
I never knew it would come to this,
My yearning so strong, so foolishly naive.
Living for something that isn't meant to be mine,
An overwhelming feeling I can't believe.
Still my passion forces me onward,
I can't help but feel in bliss.
Forgive me my longing for your embrace,
Dreams denied with just one kiss.
