Ashley's POV:

One cozy afternoon,

I was sitting in a smoothie bar waiting for Daven to get our smoothies and we'll leave.

A guy walked up to me and sat in front of me.

"You're really beautiful." The guy said.

"Of course, I am." I said.

"What is your name?" The guy asked.

"Ashley."

"Ashley, what a beautiful name. I'm Christopher." He said.

"Oh okay." I said.

"I would love if you went on a date with me." He said.

I took a good look at the guy. He was blonde, green eyes, cute, mascular, handsome and single.

"I'll think about it." I said.

"You'll think about it?" Daven said from behind me.

Daven gently placed the smoothies on the table.

"You'll think about it?" Daven repeated.

"A yes would make me feel more at ease. Can I have your number, though?" He said pulling out his phone.

"Dude, scram!" Daven exclaimed.

"Excuse me, Ashley, who is this?" Christopher asked.

"You don't wanna know. Dude, scram." I said.

Christopher left the smoothie bar. There goes my cutie.

"Ashley, you have a boyfriend and you're agreeing to a date with someone else." Daven said.

"I said I'll think about it." I said.

"Which in other words, means yes." Daven said.

"It's no big deal." I said.

"Ashley, you would have cheated on me." Daven said.

"No, I wouldn't." I said.

"You would have. Can't believe you're still the player. Still the same. Once a player, always a player." Daven said as he left the smoothie bar.

I should give him space to think. I didn't chase him. I grabbed our smoothies and went back to the college for my afternoon lectures.

When it was night time and I was returning, I passed through a quiet rear lane. Suddenly, I heard a giggle. Horror movie vibes.

"Who's there?" I asked.

"I really didn't expect you to pass here but you did. How wonderful." Someone said from the shadows.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I don't know if you'd even recognize me. It's been five years." The person said.

"Just say it." I said.

The person moved out of the shadows. She was in a black hoodie and sweatpants. Which kind of horror movie character wears sweatpants? She slowly pulled the hood off. I saw her face. She needs makeover. Her eye bags scare me.

"Girl, you need a salon." I said.

"I guess five years without me made you a bit dumb." She said.

"Who are you? I don't recognize you." I said.
