// Arielle //

"So..nothing?" Rosy chirped, curiosity suddenly filling her tone. "Nope. Not a word, not a peep, nothing. He's been avoiding me ,and the whole god damn world for that matter." I muttered back, bothered by the fact that Luke has gone completely A wall.

I sat in the passenger's seat, and Rosy squirmed a bit in the driver's seat of an old Honda. Rosy has been offering to drive me home after school every day. Since I told her about what the devil and his little demons did to me, she refused to let me walk by myself.

I don't really mind, a. We sometimes go around town, eat some where deliciously cheep, killing time. It was a good excuse to come home a bit late, there was no reason to be home at 3'oclock sharp.

Especially at my house.

"I swear, I'm about to kick that inconsiderate bastards ass!-" "Rosy, drop it! I already told you I don't mind" I reassured her, my eyes staring at the small white porch on the distance. "You can't fool anyone Arielle, especially me." She cooed, placing the gear on parking and turning the radio a notch down.

I sighed in defeat. We've been talking about this for the past few days, yet she saw right through me. She was right, it did bother me that my best friend was now squabbling with my arch enemy. "Ok, you got me. But I'm not cold enough to tell him to stop doing what he wants to do. Maybe he always wanted to be part of the team."

"Are you listening to yourself? Ha-ha. We're talking about, scrawny, do nothing, play video games all night, stuff his face with pizza, Luke. There is no way he's suddenly interested in sports" I couldn't help but giggle, my long fingers playing with the neon green bear that hung from the car ceiling.

"Your right, but you don't know that! What if he secretly had a thing for sports?" "Why are you suddenly defending him..hmm?" She narrowed her tiny brown eyes, and I could feel my heart begin to beat quicker. "No reason, I just am. I have a point and you know it's true."

I cleared my throat a bit, her laugh filling the whole entire car. "Yeah, ok" She shook her head giving me a smirk.

"Anyway, do you still have that number in the back of your phone case?" I blinked twice, how did she even...?

"You do don't you?" She chirped, her lips sipping her favorite coffee through a green straw. I kept the number; in fact I  placed  a piece of tape on it and stuck it to the inside of my phone case.

Weird I know, but honestly I kept it for a reason. Maybe one day I would have the guts to actually text the number, and get my most pride possession back. I forgot about for a while. I thought I could just get a new one from uncle Scott, he has tones of them.

But..this one was special...It had everything I dredged remembering, precious memories that I'm bound to forget if I don't get it back. "Just give it to me!" She urged, and I felt her hand grab my phone from my lap.

"Wait! What are you doing?!" I squeaked, suddenly panicking at the numerous things she could be up to. "Relax, you'll thank me later."  She flashed me a wide grin, and I raised my eyebrows in protest.

"Rosalyn come on you know the rules! You don't touch the phone without permission!" "Since when is there rules between us? " She giggled, her fingers typing unknown words onto my phone. I gulped watching her smile grow wider once she was finished. "Here you go miss grouch" She smirked, unlocking the doors, and handing me my white iphone.

"Thank you" I narrowed my eyes, placing a foot out of the car. I slung my small back pack on my left shoulder, and slipped out of the small car. II could see my house shine a bit brighter than usual, which meant everyone was home..Great.
