Chapter 10: My Life is Just One Big Plot Twist

CHAPTER 10

My feet tap beneath the desk.

One more question left to answer.

My fingers wrap tightly around the pencil and I scribble out the answer on the page.

Flipping the test back over, I get up and walk to the front of the room.

"Thank you Jordyn." Miss Jermaine says quietly as she takes the test from me.

"No prob."

The bell rings and kids file out of the room. Others flock to the front to turn their tests in.

Just as I'm about to turn away she stops me.

"How's the documentary going? Did you find someone to do it on?"

"Yeah I did actually. It's going good." I smile.

"If you don't mind me asking, who are you doing your project on?" She asks, her Scottish accent thicker than ever.

"My friend Ashton." I say, a smile lights up my face.

"That's great."

"Have a good day Miss Jermaine." I say turning around.

"You too Jordyn."

As I walk back to my seat to grab my things, I notice Alex is still here and he's looking straight at me.

"Stare much?" I laugh.

"Oh." He jolts back. "Sorry."

"It's fine really." I tell him as I shove my textbook in my bag.

"So uh, how do you think you did on that test?" I notice that he's standing now.

"I'm pretty confident. I think I aced it." I sling my backpack over my shoulders.

"That's good. I think I did pretty well too." He says following behind me as we walk out of the room.

"What class do you have next?" I ask.

"Calculus."

"Ew that sucks." I laugh softly.

"Lemme guess, you have AP Bio next." He smirks as he taps the overstuffed binder in my hands.

I place my hand on my cheek.

"How did you know!?" I giggle.

"You have a nice laugh." He says
suddenly.

"Thanks." I mumble, a blush makes an appearance on my face.

"Sorry." He looks embarrassed as he shoves his hands in his pockets.

Gosh, he looks really cute when he's embarrassed.

"It's fine." I say as we stop in front of the AP Bio room.

"So, do you wanna maybe do something with me on Friday?" He rushes out.

Did he just...?

"Is this your attempt at asking me out?"

"Maybe." He chuckles.

My heart starts to race.

"Well then it's a yes." I smile.

"Wow, really?"

I nod my head.

"Great, well I'll give you the deets tomorrow. I gotta head to class. See ya Jordyn."

"Bye Alex."

I turn around and walk into the classroom.

He asked me out.

I can't actually believe it, someone likes me enough to ask me out.

My life is just a giant plot twist right now.

A/N

We had a cold day today! I was so happy (mainly because I didn't do any of my homework lol).

Ugh, sorry. This is a crappy filler. There are exciting parts coming, eventually. :-)
