CHAPTER 14

From: Ashy
Movie night tonight?

"Who ya texting?" Alex asks from right beside me.

"Ashton." I say, a small smile forming on my face.

To: Ashy
I'm at Alex's. I should be done soon. My house 8? Bring the movies ;D

Currently it's Saturday evening and I'm over at Alex's to work on a project for Filmmaking.

The date last night was pretty cheesy let me just say.

We went out to the movies and watched some weird chick flick.

No, I did not suggest the chick flick.

I don't even like chick flicks?

But anyways, he used that awful "yawn and put arm over the date's shoulder" move.

He then drove me back home and was a gentleman about opening the car door for me.

He ended up walking me to my front door and he said goodnight and kissed my cheek.

It was cute but cheesy.

It's been done before Alex, come on.

"You two seem like good friends." He says, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, he's a great guy." I reply.

"...You don't, like him like him...Do you?" He asks hesitantly.

"We're just friends nothing more." I say, taking a deep breath.

Truth be told, I don't really know what my feelings for Ashton are yet.

Every time I hear his name I get the warm fuzzies, but I don't want to ruin our friendship.

CONFLICTIONS.

Besides, I don't even know if he likes me.

"You positive?" He asks, still a little unsure.

I nod my head up and down.

"Good, now I can do this." Before I know what's happening, Alex is on the same couch as me and his lips are on mine.

The kiss is not exactly what I was picturing my first kiss would be like, but it's nice nonetheless.

I soften into the kiss, his right hand slips behind my neck and his left hand slips around my waist.

He pulls away and rests his forehead on mine.

"Damn," he breathes, "I'm glad I did that."

"Me too." I giggle, pulling him in for another kiss.

"Alex?" We hear his mom ask, sending us both to opposite ends of the couch.

"Yeah mom?" He asks as she pops her head in the room.

"Hi Jordyn," she smiles, and I wave back. "Does Jordyn want to stay for dinner? We're having lasagna."

"Would you like to stay and have dinner?" He turns his head towards me, raising an eyebrow.

"Sure, I have a little time to spare before I have to leave." I say checking my phone.

6:24.

I'd have time to eat and then go home to watch movies with Ash.

"Okay, dinner will be done in twenty minutes." She warns, leaving the room.

Alex makes his way back over to me and wiggles his eyebrows.

"What?" I laugh.

"Where were we?" He smirks, pulling me in for another kiss.

"We're supposed to be working on a project." I giggle as I pull away.

He looks at me with puppy eyes.

I roll my eyes and plant a soft kiss on his lips.

He grabs the back of my neck and deepens it.

My phone carelessly falls out of my hand as I place my hands on his chest.

I was oblivious to the whole world.

*~*~*~*~*

I shut the front door and a huge smile spreads across my face.

The special effects project for filmmaking was done and I officially have my first boyfriend.

Today has been great.

After dinner, Alex and I played cards with his family.

I, of course lost every single time because I can't play cards even if my life depended on it.

There was a lot of smiling and laughing. They're a great bunch of people.

"Forget something?" A voice asks out of nowhere causing me to jump.

"Ashton!" I whisper harshly. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Wow, I cant believe you." He snaps, brushing past me.

"Whoa," I grab his arm and pull him back. "What the hell?"

"What time is it?"

"I don't know, check it." I grumble at him, I'm not really in the mood to deal with his crap.

"I said, what time is it?" He growls, catching me off guard.

I pull my phone out of my pocket and unlock it.

4 missed calls, 5 texts.

All from Ashton.

Movie night.

I completely forgot.

My eyes widen and I let out a gasp.

"Ash," I begin, but he stops me with three little words.

"Leave me alone." He says, hurt evident in his voice.

He pulls away from my grasp and opens the door.

He leaves without looking back.

I lean against the door and take a deep breath, tears pricking my eyes.

I really messed up.
