Chapter 57 | Wooing ( Part ll )
Alpha Horton kept on doing various things after his confession three days ago. Luna Oswald just kept her silence and it did make him feel dispirited at first but in order to gain her heart back, Alpha Horton is willing to do anything.
Luna Oswald wasn't shocked that once she finally went outside if the pack house to check on her pack members that they all presented a little something to her. She made Beta Aled carry some of them as the little trinkets began to increase in amount.
"Alpha Horton is determined to pursue you, Luna." Beta Aled said as he glanced at the hand written letters, flowers, a carving of a black wolf, a bracelet made out of gold and diamonds, a brand new cloak, and many more.
"The pack is expressing their support towards him." Beta Aled added as he followed his Luna.
Luna Oswald looked at all the things that her pack members gave her and a small smile flashed inside her eyes.
They continued to walk and inquire about how her pack members are doing when suddenly, a howl was heard.
It was a very musical howl, it speaks of longing and hope. It was a mating howl.
Luna Oswald felt her wolf stir and try to claw its way out. It obviously recognize the howl if its mate.
The howl continued for a long time and as wolves, some of them couldn't help but howl too. Trying to compliment mating howl and wait for the response if the female.
Luna Oswald tried to control her urges and kept her mouth shut but her slightly trembling form betrayed her feelings.
Soon a lot of people have joined the song, it made their blood boil and anticipation filled the air as they awaited for the response their Luna.
They all think that their Luna deserves a new start in her life.
Beta Aled was about to finally join the song when he noticed that Luna Oswald seemed to be torn. He was about to ask what was wrong when Luna Oswald suddenly ran away.
"Luna!" Beta Aled shouted loudly.
His voice cut off the several singing wolves and silence slowly descended on the pack.
Soon, the mating howl of Alpha Horton stopped.
Alpha Horton now felt hopeless. Even if there is the established mate bond, Luna Oswald's feelings for him will only be due to their bond, without it they can only be considered as people who are working together.
He wants to make up for his past mistakes, he wants to win her heart back once more, but can he really not win her heart back?
Alpha Horton sat down as his ears began to droop and his tail began to wag slowly till it stopped. Sadness filled the eyes of the wolf as it raised it's head once more and a sad song poured out from it.
The lone howl echoed within the pack.
No one joined in for they knew that the wolf wanted to be alone. Pain and loneliness filled the whole area as the wolf expressed its desolation.
The song continued for a long time and when it was finally about to end, the pack was surprised to hear a second voice joining in.
It seemed to match the howl of Alpha Horton as both voices began to blend seamlessly with one another. The song slowly changed from its sad tune to something more harmonious.
That was the time when the pack finally realized that the other voice belongs to their Luna.
Luna Oswald finally gave her response.
Happiness filled the pack and soon a lot of wolves were joining in and a happy song full of content filled the pack.
Alpha Horton's wolf finally got the response from his beloved mate. His ears began to stand up proudly as his tail began to express his joy.
His whole body became energized as he continued to howl.
Once the song ended, Alpha Horton immediately rushed towards Luna Oswald's location.
'Mate!' Alpha Horton joyfully called out through their mate bond.
