Two weeks. Two damned weeks. Two weeks and I would officially sign my life over to the Vitali Mafia.

To say I was absolutely nervous is a huge understatement in my opinion. I was terrified, anxious and couldn't help being scared about the whole thing.

Who knew what happened at these kind of ceremonies?

My mind was continuously going to the worst circumstances that could possibly occur. I imagined many ways the whole vowing part would occur but I tried to not allow myself to go down that path.

"What has got our favourite red head all bothered?" Sienna asked as she stood next to me as I was pouring the drinks into the glasses on my tray.

"I'm vowing Omèrta in exactly thirteen days." I admitted as I looked at the cups rather intently.

"Oh poof!" Sienna exclaimed, "You shouldn't be worried about it. It's nothing to be scared about."

"It isn't?" I asked as I swallowed the excessive spit in my mouth.

Sienna nodded, "You shouldn't waste your nights being worried about it. It's literally a one hours process filled with many lectures."

"What happens?" I asked her curiously.

Sienna laughed, "I'm sorry Ari but I can't tell you that! I'm not allowed to divulge such sensitive information. It'll happen and then you'll know. I just wanted to ease you."

"Thanks I guess." I forced a smile as I grabbed my tray and went to serve Vinchenzo's table.

I placed cups filled with alcohol all around the table and stood to the side as Vinchenzo had requested.

"Don't worry about it! I'll deal with him myself." Dantè viciously said as his fists slammed down in the table. He looked enraged.

"Yes, you'll deal with that rat." Another man whose name I did not know responded.

"We'll have to be very careful. If we kill him, Iñigo will attack us." Vinchenzo said as he sipped his drink.

"We either shove the blame to the Domano or Donfrio." Dantè hissed.

"Dantè calm down." Vinchenzo ordered, "We will be rational about our next move. I won't mess up my alliance with Gino to kill Iñigo's son."

"I understand Don, but he threatens our family. I'm programmed to kill anyone who does so." Dantè said as he relaxed into his chair.

"You're no machine, Dantè. We will come up with a fool proof plan. Make his death seem like it was righteous actions." Vinchenzo reasoned.

"We will shoot him down with one of our war planes." A man that seemed in his fifties said as he placed his cigarette into the ash tray.

"That's going to make you noticeable, you shouldn't do that. I think if you wanted to get rid of him hire someone that's not related to anything with the mafia take him out with a car crash." I suggested before I slapped a hand over my mouth.

"As much of a wonderful idea that is
Arianna, no one gave you permission to speak." Dantè said his eyes narrowing.

Vinchenzo grinned and turned his chair towards me, "Thirteen. Thirteen days." He whispered as though he wanted me to be the only one to hear.

"I know," I whispered back before I defied his rule and went to the kitchen. I knew he was going to yell at me for walking off without him dismissing me but for now I wasn't worried about that.

I knew Sienna reassured me about vowing Omèrta but I couldn't help it. I had only vowed loyalty to the FBI and now Vinchenzo comes into my life, or realistically I hopped into his, and now I'm suddenly part of the mafia and a spy no less!

I grabbed another tray and walked around distributing my drinks with a small smile on my face, but it was a fake. A plastic smile if you must.

I checked out with a sigh and made my way to the room and was not surprised to see Vinchenzo in my bedroom flipping his gun with his right hand, completely lost in thought.

I took two timid steps forward and peered at him. He seemed relatively calm and not in the 'I kill as I go' mode he generally had on when I was around. Vinchenzo's green eyes snapped up and he was met with my blue ones.

It was a few moments before he broke the silence, "You checked out early." He stated looking at the golden watch on his wrist.

I tentatively nodded my head, "I did. I couldn't handle the pressures at work and I did not feel like meeting another Lucas today." I explained.

"I shot him in the shoulder." He said non-chalantly.

"Yes, you did." I responded stiffly waiting for him to verbally attack me, but it never came.

I watched as Vinchenzo closed his eyes and ran a distressed hand through his raven black hair before he swiftly brought them down and slowly massaged his temples.

"What is wrong?" I asked timidly unable to stop myself from being concerned.

You hate him Arianna! Don't care about him! You hate him! I mentally reminded myself as I sat back and allowed the dreary silence to fill the room.

"There is so much that is wrong Red, but so much that is right." Was all he said before I got up and left my room shutting the door behind him with a bang.

I was done with all his cryptic answers that never allowed me to make a choice. You hate him. You hate him. I chanted to myself as I clenched my fists tightly and stormed to the game room.

I swung the door open and made my way to the bar with determination to finish every last drop of alcohol they stored here which was a lot!

I grabbed a crystal glass cup and filled it to the brim with tequila. I brought the cup upto my nostrils and grimaced when the horrible smell reached my nose. I closed my eyes counted to three and threw the whole cup down my throat.

My eyes filled with tears as the liquid burned my throat, but I was determined and no one could stop Arianna Dawson when she was in determined mode.

I threw down three glasses and finished the entire bottle as a blonde haired girl watched me. She gave me a small smile when she saw that I had seen her looking at me.

"My name's Lauren." She introduced and I gave her a sloppy smile.

"My name is Arianna," I managed to slur as I held my heavy body up with my palms in the counter.

"Care to share what is happening with you right now?" She asked gesturing to the empty glasses in front of me which kept on increasing.

"Everything!" I slurred before I groaned and a pounding.

I couldn't help but bend over and vomit everything that I had consumed in the past hour out and onto the expensive looking rug. It burned my tonsils and nose as It came out. I felt someone hold my messy, raging hair back as I heaved on a dry stomach.

Then all I saw was black spots which then became complete darkness.
