Jade continued her ballet and tap lessons for the next 2 years at the same studio 19 minutes from her house until she was nine almost ten

She loved sitting in the audience and watching all the other classes and dancers or performers at the year end showcase every single year because she only did two classes so she started to notice all the other interesting classes the studio offered and types of dance

She noticed all the pretty costumes the kids who did lyrical got to wear, and how flowy they looked when they twirled it jumped around the stage

She noticed how sparkly the jazz costumes were and how much all the sequins and glitter shimmered and shone against the stage lights

She didn't really like watching hip hop or looking at the costumes because they weren't very pretty and they were always pants and a shirt never dresses but she did love listening to the music and how much of a beat there was to it

She would sit in the audience between her parents and bop her head up and down to the strong beat of the music. She would look over to her left at her mom and they would share a smile but when she looked to the right only she smiled and David would just lean back farther into his chair, let out a long sigh and cross his arms tighter over his chest muttering to only himself that he just wanted to get this over with and go home cause he had work to do

Her absolute favorite thing to watch in the whole showcase was at the end when the three different ages theatre groups and the vocal soloists performed and sang

When she was younger she just like the music and rhythm but now the more she listened the more she would listen to the lyrics and try to figure them out

Her new dream was to take voice lessons

This however was the first dream of hers that her parents wouldn't give her- well her father more

She begged and begged but this time not even her mom could convince him

She even wrote songs and sang them to him to try to convince him but he either wouldn't pay attention or would say they were terrible

Her mother always clapped and listened though

But it didn't matter. She needed his approval

She walked in the door after coming home from school in fourth grade one day to what sounded like her mother trying to convince her father again. She stayed downstairs and quietly listened to them argue

"I let the dance classes slide! But now she wants to do signing lessons too? No Anna I've told you a thousand times that that's where I draw a line"

"But David she really wants to and they're just for f-

"Don't you say they're just for fun. Because they're not and they're getting to be more frequent, she had to stay and extra half hour on Wednesday to practice and she's making bad habits with it"

"It was only half an hour no big deal"

"But it's wasting her time and my time and my money because she's not even that good"

"David!"

That's the last jade heard because ran out the door that she had just walked in

There was a snake in my garage while I was playing hockey

Kinda debating on whether or not to do bade hidden moments. Idk would y'all read that
