You might not have worked in the same precinct as Rosa, but you knew her well and she might not have been interested in you but there was no harm in a bit of flirting.

Jake and Gina were probably two of your best friends, you got on with them fairly well and could joke around with them without ever feeling awkward – your personalities just clicked, and ever since then they had been in your life.

Whenever you got to go to their precinct, you'd always try and stay as long as you could because you missed them when you weren't there.

You weren't too sure about Rosa, she'd respond to your flirting with sarcasm but every so often you'd see a tiny little smile appear.

Your boss had sent you to their precinct so you could deliver some paperwork and help them out with the same paperwork.

When you walked in, Gina was the first to see you and she squealed "Y/N!"

You laughed, hugging her when she reached you, "Hey Gina, long time no see."

She smiled and took the paperwork off of you "I'll let you work on this when you've said hi to everyone else," she said before going back to her desk.

You went over to Rosa's desk, perching next to where she was sat "Hi Y/N," she greeted.

"Now why would they have a girl as pretty as you behind a desk all day," you joked with her.

She rolled her eyes and continued to type at her computer.

"Why'd you always turn me down huh? You hate me that much?"

She sighed, turning to face you, "I don't hate you Y/N."

You crossed your arms and pouted "And yet you always turn me down."

"Not always," she protested whilst still paying attention to her computer.

"Yes always," you countered "Won't even let little old me take you out on a date."

She shrugged "It doesn't mean anything Y/N – whenever you come here, you do this just for show," she told you in a low voice.

You shook your head "You clearly don't know me all that well if you think this is for show."

Before Rosa answered, you walked back over to Gina, "You haven't said hi to Jake yet."

You smiled at her "I'm going to get some coffee – I'll say hi to him when I'm back," you told her and she nodded in acknowledgement.

As you walked out of the precinct, you heard footsteps behind you and a hand on your shoulder.

"If you wanted to get a coffee with me, you could've just said."

You heard her laugh from behind you and she soon fell into step next to you "Who said I wanted coffee?"

Turning to look at Rosa, you smiled, "No one – but it's a date."

"Not for show?" she questioned.

You shook your head "Not for show."
